We absolutely loved our stay at Vale do Grou. The owners were wonderful; they were so friendly, generous and available. The location was super quiet and the rooms and bathrooms were very spacious and comfortable. It was helpful to be able to use the kitchen in the house to make tea or coffee or drink a glass of wine that the owners so kindly offered. We highly recommend this place!

The hosts are fabulous people that makes your stay exceptional, small attentions that make all the difference. The rooms are well decorated. The fridge is full of little suprprises… just perfect. Nice beaches to drive to. Will definitely go back.

The pool area was clean and quiet. We loved the billiard room. The house is a 10min walk from Obidos; very practical as you do not need to take the car to the village.

Beautiful, very clean and well decorated hotel. Comfortable beds and lots of hot water. Hot water heating worked great. The friendliest & helpful staff. Helping us with directions, restaurants & sightseeing activities. My wife fell & sprained her ankle. Daniel, with the help of the owner, got us ice, which relieved the swelling. Highly recommend this hotel. Breakfast was very good. Excellent coffee!

This was such a cute and comfortable little place with many hand-made and homey touches. The decor was old fishing equipment; the bed was a platform bed on a cement slab and the shower was tiked with sea shells. It was very clean and well supplied with dishes, cutlery, a couple of pans, a 2-burner induction range and a microwave and small fridge. There was even some salt and olive oil as well as 2 coffee pods and sugar. It was quiet and comfortable and had plenty of room, live plants and even a little patio.

The whole experience was great. Large rooms, all containing an ensuite, a fireplace, a pool, amazing design and great views in the valley between the hills. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here! I would stay here again in a heartbeat! The house far surpassed my expectations.
