How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Nothing - all good!
The hotel was in a good location and provide all the facilities we required. Very comfortable beds. We asked our receptionist to order a very early morning taxi to the airport and all went perfectly! Taxi arrived before time and we made our flight without a hitch. Would use for a transit stay again without hesitation.

Everything was so perfect.
Everything was great: location was walking distance to everywhere we wanted to visit. The continental breakfast was perfect and a great coffee machine. We will return in 2026 and walk the Camino again.

It was a bit noisy - heard what was going at the reception, and also when the breakfast was being prepared. The breakfast was ok, but I wouldn't recommend it.
The room was tiny but cozy, very comfortable bed. Everyone working there was super nice and helpful.

The breakfast was a bit hit and miss with the set up. Even if there was someone there to explain Choice could have been a bit better.
Loved the location and the blend of the old & modern style in this little hotel. Some quirky features.

The property is just few minutes away from the cathedral and we easily reached all the landmarks in the city by walk. The room was really big, clean and comfortable and the breakfast had a fair selection of goods. Highly recommended as we had an amazing experience!

Everything was great
Small boutique hotel within walking distance to the Cathedral and restaurants. Paid parking close by in a garage. Our room was on the 3rd floor and the penthouse room. It was huge and could accommodate 4 people. The Breakfast was quite adequate in a comfortable setting. All the staff were helpful and friendly.

Location was brilliant, only a short walk through the some of the old town into the city centre. The room facilities were adequate for the price and had all that was needed. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Slightly noisy for a few hours late in the night. Eventually it would become quiet. But this was till well past midnight.
Loved the rooms, the service and the friendly staff. The hotel is about 500 mts from the Compostela but still in the old city and right at the edge. So getting a taxi while leaving was also easy. Specifically loved the windows and little balconies overlooking the street

* Breaksfast was great, but it needs a bit more attention from a member of the staff. Often, the juice jar was empty, and I had to crush the oranges myself 😆. No problem at all with that, but I found intrusive using their kitchen and their appliances myself.

This is a very clean, modern facility still in the old part of Santiago, just across from one of my favorite little squares: Plaza San Roque. The airport bus has a stop only a minute walk from the hotel, and many good restaurants, bars and bakeries that are frequented by locals are a hop, skip and a jump away. The room was very clean and nicely layed-out.

We would have liked a few more options for breakfast like eggs and bacon/sausage.
The rooms we used for our family were very nice and comfortable. We had the loft family room and there was plenty of space. We liked having breakfast at the hotel.
