Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

LatviaThere really wasn't anything to improve. The only thing making this experience better would be a chance to rent a towel, but that's a totally small item.
Very great albuerge – one of the best I've stayed over the camino. Everything was clean, well organised, there were washing machines, dryer, a place to wash clothes by hand, kitchen was fully equipped. I had to take a taxi to the airport next morning and host reserved it for me. Very great experience.

United StatesThe owner is a sweet lady who takes pleasure in how much we enjoy our stay here. It’s clean and very taken care of. Also more modern and new than other hostels I’ve stayed at yet with a homey feel to it. The common areas are perfectly set up to easily talk to other people and the back yard is a treasure! Enjoy your stay :)

United StatesIt did get a bit warm in the pod-beds because there is no air-conditioning and you weren’t allowed to open the windows.
The property is new so very, very clean. Ample laundry facilities. Beautiful garden in the back to relax. Wonderful host who was so willing to assist with any questions.

AustraliaA really delightful alburgue - it has a lovely kitchen, dining and lounge area and such a beautiful garden. The sleeping pods were really clean with their own lights, power points and lockers and real linen sheets. A lovely place to spend the last night on the Camino.

United KingdomI got bitten ferociously on my abdomen and forehead. I feel they should have more food to buy on a Sunday when they supermarkets are shut. It’s a very limited village. Long life options that can be microwaved.
The privacy bunks and lockable under bunk lockers (although mine didn’t lock).

SwitzerlandWe had to bed's in a 6 bed shared room. There are curtains to the beds for privacy and locked drawers for your belongings (no need for a lock). There was a small bathroom directly next to the dormitory. Best pilgrim Albergue we had on the camino. The owner (Maria?) is super friendly and helpful.

SwitzerlandExceptionally clean, a little privacy with the curtain and the staff was kind and helpful. I got this place, planning to walk to the airport because I had an early flight. But there is the first airport bus arriving there around 6:20AM on Sundays. The next one is around 6:40AM as far as I could guess but it can vary greatly so I suggest going to the bus stop maybe 10-15 minutes before estimated arrival.

United StatesThe mattresses were a little squeaky.
Stayed here before going to the airport in the morning. Great location for catching the bus to the Santiago airport. The receptionist at the front desk was very helpful and kind and gave me a tour of the alberge. Every inch of the lodgings were very clean. There was also a garden in the back. Great price.

United KingdomAlways good to provide a mop/disinfecant next to the toilet in the case of men who 'dribble' on the floor before you go in (not so much much of problem here as elsewhere!)
The only Albergue on our trip to provide full cooking facilities. Super friendly hostess (Maria?) and beautiful back garden. This place is spotless and modern.

BelgiumThey need to finetune the light in the sleeping area which switches on each time someone walks by. That is quite disturbing, but could be easily fixed. Also would need to foresee additional space to brush teeth / comb hair. That is now at the toilets and is not ideal
Brand new albergue, very clean and comfortable. Not too large. All bunkbeds have a good curtain to have privacy. USB to load your mobile at the bed. Well equiped kitchen. No breakfast or dinner so bring your own meal. Ideal as last stop before reaching Santiago or as last stay before taking an early flight. Bus stop to airport or Santiago on 5 minutes walk. Otherwise walk to the airport is 3,5km.

United KingdomThe bathroom has push button showers which are only made better with temperature control. They were clean and there was a bench just outside the shower. Check which room you have booked (big or small) in case you do have a preference and are put in the ‘other’ one. If traveling together but booking separately, send them a note. They could do with an extra sofa given the capacity of the albergue, perhaps my making the reception smaller and the common area larger. A small trash bin in the room would also be useful.
Nice albergue with comfortable beds and good facilities. The service was good, clear explanations, etc. The kitchen is well equipped, there’s washing machine and dryer. When we stayed there was also paper to dry boots and a place to hang wet ponchos. There’s a fiend/supermarket up the road but it isn’t amazing beyond packaged basics, so bring food from Pedrouzo if coming along the Camino. It was a good stay here, would happily return.

The hostel is new and is very nice. They have a very nice kitchen, a garden, and laundry. The beds are very comfortable and nice with curtains. It is located in the camino but also good because it is 15 minutes from the airport. The owner is very nice and helpful. The kitchen is furnished and nearby you can go to the supermarket to buy something to Cook. The showers are separate from the bathroom. They also have shampoo included. The sheets are included.

United KingdomIt is very nice place to stay apart from the noise other people made at night during sleeping time, but this is personal behavior although house rules state to keep quiet at night, but this is hostel you get what you paid for, it still worth staying. One more thing is you have to pay attention to the Monbus timetable, I didn't pay attention to it, so I missed the last bus from Santiago to the property in the evening, no choice, but had to take a taxi to the property.
It is very clean and the staff is very friendly and helpful all the time. It is very close to bus station to Santiago.
