Boasting a prime location within the castle walls, this century-old restored mansion features a tranquil courtyard and charming accommodation with views over the castle. Situated in the Kastro area of Ioannina just by the entrance to the Inner Citadel (Its Kale) this is a lovely old family house converted into a small hotel. It's lovely. We found everything to our liking; friendly staff, spotlessly clean, beautifully decorated, comfortable room, lovely breakfast, perfect location and good value for money. What more could you want?

The lady here was friendly and welcoming. The outside has a traditional look while inside, the room had a modern bathroom which was nice. The breakfast was excellent and the atmosphere was cozy. There was plenty of room to park on the nearest road. I would definitely recommend staying here! Note: If you have trouble finding the check-in or if someone isn't there, just give the lady a call, or you can ask at the nearby Konstantinou & Eleni (Κωνσταντίνου & Ελένης). (This is where we had our breakfast.) These guesthouses are run by the same family and would be happy to help.

We loved the beautifully decorated rooms that created a relaxing vacation atmosphere. Breakfast in the garden under the trees was a delightful way to start the day. The owner was incredibly helpful, assisting us with organizing hikes and providing great tips and lunch boxes for our day-long adventures. The location was the perfect starting point for hiking, and there were good restaurants within walking distance from the accommodation.

The location of the accommodation is central and closed to all attractions, the city, the castle and the lake. Free parking compound is located about 10-minute walk from the accommodation. The staff, Dafni, was extremely friendly and helpful. She gave us a very warm welcome on our arrival, and helped us to carry all our luggage to our room. She also provided us with direction to the carpark as well as comprehensive information on attractions, good restaurants and cafes nearby. We booked a double room but were provided with an option to upgrade to a triple room which was of excellent size, clean, tidy, modern, quiet and well-facilitated. The bed was very comfortable. The buffet breakfast was lovely, including crepes, omelette and fried eggs, hams, cheese, sausages, cookies, cakes, bakery, juices etc. We are very satisfied with this accommodation.

We came all the way from Florida, USA to this most charming hotel. The room was lovely and Vasso gave us great information about what to see in Vikos gorge.

Ideally located within the Castle of Ioannina , CASTRELLO Old Town Hospitality offers air-conditioned rooms, a shared lounge, free WiFi and a garden. This property also provides guests with a terrace.... We returned after one year - and it’s still one of my favorite hotels in the world. Wonderful rooms, charming location and the best hosts one can imagine. We will definitely return next year!
