Located in Okuhida Onsen Village among the Japanese Alps, Hodakaso Yamano Hotel features 7 public hot-spring baths and a fireplace lounge. Rooms offer beautiful mountain views and a private bathroom. Everything is good! The room is very clean, onsen are very big with nice scenery. Meal also very nice!

Fantastic staff that helped us cross the mountains the day when we were leaving, since there were unsafe driving conditions.

Nestled between untouched nature in the tranquil Northern Alps area, Hidaji offers spacious Japanese-style accommodation with traditional architecture. Hidaji was a very special and unforgettable experience, 100% worth it. We felt very pampered with my husband and the food was amazing, we ate like kings! There is lots to do around for nature lovers but you can also easily just stay in and enjoy the amenities and each other. We had a lot of privacy and felt as though we were alone most of the time even though the place was fully booked.

Featuring free WiFi throughout the property, Pension Kinoshita is set in Takayama, 40 km from Hida Minzoku Mura Folk Village. Free private parking is available on site. We had a great stay in this little ryokan run by a friendly old lady who goes out of her way to make travellers feel welcome. It's an old house with an outdoor hot spring (we had the place to ourselves!). In the evening you can have dinner in the house (various options). The breakfast was excellent. I highly recommend staying here if you are looking for an authentic experience in the area. You might need a car if you want to reach the ryokan easily.

Minshuku Takizawa is situated a 70-minute drive from Takayama City. Free private parking is available on site. I think here we had the best stay in our life :) A beautiful, traditional place in the heart of Japanese Alps. Very comfortable, clean and atmospheric. The food that was served was the highest level, delicious and the best we had in Japan. There are five private onsens, out of which two are outside to enjoy the nature and relax. We definitely recommend to anybody that would like to experience a real taste of traditional Japan.

Offering free flowing spring water from two different hot springs and ski storage space, Oyado Eitaro is set in the Okuhida Onsen district in Takayama. Free private parking is available on site. Hotel is just 2-3 minutes walk from bus stop with nice private onsen. Both breakfast and dinner are excellent and delicious.

Set amid a beautiful landscape in Okuhida Onsengo hot-spring area, Yamazatonoiori Soene offers beautiful rooms in a Japanese style with river or garden views. We love and enjoyed open air Onsen with Riverview, it was fabulous, even the kids love it as well. Traditional Japanese-style Dinner and breakfast were amazing.
