Perfectly located in a quiet neighbourhood and only a 7mins walk to Kyoto Kyocera Museum. Staffs are energetic, friendly and always eager to help. Calm and tasteful interior, woody scent, quiet, beautiful outdoor garden. Lovely spacious room with open bath, comfortable bed, relaxing atmosphere, fun teaware to play with. Breakfast was beautiful and plentiful. Kaiseki dinner of the inhouse restaurant was also delicious and well presented.

In a prime location in the Sakyo Ward district of Kyoto, Giappo Franca Kyoto is situated less than 1 km from Shoren-in Temple, a 14-minute walk from Heian Shrine and 1.2 km from Gion Shijo Station. Quiet neighborhood, small independent hotel. This is a calm and peaceful area, the staff was extremely helpful. The room are really small, no desk, just a bed & small refrigerator. Small bathroom. It was absolutely perfect. We were in a busy area of Osaka the day before, this was a perfect wind down, sleep & decompress place

The manager let us check in early. We were super exhausted. I booked Garden River Suite but got a free upgrade to Executive River Suite and delicious afternoon tea treats. It was a super location close to all the sites we wanted to visit. Luxurious ambiance, new property, and great care for detail, service and cleaning. The concierge booked a fantastic Kaiseki for us- super attention, organization, and real love for their work. 🍾 🥂

Nishimura-san and his wife were really adorable with us ! Everything in their home is beautiful and made us felt like home. The location is extremely convenient to visit touristic places and Tadashi Nishimura gave us a map with a recommanded tour which was really useful !

Our favourite stay during our trip to Japan. The hosts were very welcoming and always happy to help us with our questions! I would recommend this guest house to anybody considering to visit Kyoto. It is located in a quiet neighbourhood, but not too far from some major tourist attractions. The hosts also suggested a walk around the neighbourhood with some lovely quiet/calm temples.
