Sophie and Christopher provided us a dinner and breakfast fit for royalty. Fresh vegetables from their garden and wonderful fresh eggs from their chickens were cooked to perfection. Even though they only spoke French and we English, Google translator made for fun conversations.

We had a great stay at Au Did de Champs. It's such a peaceful and quiet location less than 30 minutes from the cathedral of Chartres. Sylvie was a great host and a great chef as well (we took her up on the dinner option). The room, reception area and entire property are extremely well maintained. I recommend staying here 100 per cent and we would definitely stay again.

The hosts were very nice and helpful. The town is very quiet and is a bit outside the highway. The petrol stations are closed after 18h in the countryside so be aware of that ;) ... well almost everything was closed when we arrived so we should have planed a little more. Otherwise it was a very cool experience!
