I actually don't know where to start first: - The overall super friendly, warm and helping staff. Every single one of them greets you with a genuine smile and a small chat. - Big and very clean room with a great fluffy bed, perfect shower, good AC and all amenities you would need. - Housekeeping staff (in our case Ana/Fiki) goes above and beyond to keep your room tidy every single day. The hotel is spick and span. - Chef helping my wife at the saturday night grill, explaining all the veggie dishes and making a special veggie pasta to make her happy. - Never seen such an extensive buffet breakfast with a lot of western options. All coffees are possible and made with a smile. - Large pool and very well equipped gym. Both areas are very clean at all times. - Helpful reception and door staff. Overall a great 4 night experience thanks to ALL the staff!

Situated beside Malioboro Shopping Centre in the heart of Yogyakarta, the 5-star Melia Hotel features a freeform outdoor pool and a spa. Spacious rooms provide cable TV channels. Centrally located, great service, fantastic breakfast, nice pool. We paid for a superior room but it did not seem very big. It’s hard to find better service than hotels in Indonesia. And the price was very reasonable even in high season.
