The room is large and brightly lit. The bed is comfortable and the facilities are adequate. The breakfast included are great too. The hotel is on the main street but the entrance is a bit difficult to find. I walked pass it the first time without noticing it.

This hotel is situated a few minutes away by electric transport from the train station on the other side of the river. Nestled into the hillside, the hotel balconies are adorned with flowers boxes, making for a pretty scene. From the balconies, to the right The Matterhorn is visible. The hotel staff were friendly, helpful and efficient in all areas of the hotel. The hotel bar and restaurant have outdoor seating available when the weather is good. We enjoyed the full breakfast included with the room rate. The room we stayed in was a family room with three full bedrooms with doors for privacy - terrific for our needs ( a group of 6). Although the hotel was reasonably busy when we’re there it never felt that way and was quiet at night. The main room was spacious, included a table and there were two bathrooms not connected to a bedroom. The room was clean and well maintained. There isn’t a small fridge or beverage set up in the room. We stayed 2 nights and were able to easily navigate our way to parks, the centre where there is shopping, restaurants and access points to explore all this area of Switzerland has to offer. If the opportunity to stay again comes up, we definitely would.

Location: walking distance to all transportation stops Staff: very friendly and helpful. Breakfast: AWESOME! So many varieties, not common in Switzerland hotels. Room with kitchen: equipped with all necessities.

The woman who checked us in could not have been more friendly and helpful. She was simply very wonderful. Regrets I do not remember her name. Each coming and going she was there with a smile. Answered all our questions. 5 stars! The breakfast was the best of all the hotels we stayed at during our 9 day journey- We stayed at a total of 4 hotels. The food was plentiful, well prepared and lots of options. We did have a very nice view of the Matterhorn, Room 502, I believe. The TV was on when we entered with a welcoming remark and then a video of a crackling fireplace. Perfect. Best of all was the employee at the check desk.
