They opened the pool ahead of schedule in response to requests. The staff generally did absolutely everything they could to be supportive and helpful. Their patience with some rude Americans was just soooo gracious.

Make sure you book your tickets to the acropolis ahead of time early morning or evening are the best times.
Safe and very clean city it does have a lot of written graffiti.
Make sure you have the Gyros at the metro square by the flea market. Go to the restaurant behind the little church and in the corner of the walking street. They have the take away ones but if you get a beer they will let you sit at the tables.
Also don’t forget to enjoy the gelato, and the street corn on the cob

Lots of sights, cafes, taverns and liveliness everywhere. Reliable transport around the city by metro and tram. I love going to Athens.
I recommend visiting this city in April, May, October and November. But we swam in the sea even in January ;-)
We also always shop at Hondos Center on Omonia Square...

I have mixed feelings about Athens as a whole.
I have mixed feelings about Athens as a whole. I knew it was a big city but it had more a big city feel versus a traditional Greek feel than I expected. The main strip with the tourist attractions was good, not too crowded in early May which was nice. But the city does have a really big and sad drug and homeless problem. It wasn't safe for me, as a solo female traveler, to walk around past 7pm and I saw some things that were really heartbreaking to witness. The history of the city and the food were amazing and beautiful but you just have to be mentally and emotionally prepared to take in both sides of the city while you're there as it's unavoidable.

Museum, ancient monuments, and open locations are wonderful.
Museum, ancient monuments, and open locations are wonderful. Also the climate at the end of April that allows you to walk around is perfect. You have absolutely to try local restaurants that deliver traditional dishes of Greek cuisine. Prepare in advance your visit, because there are many events in Athens and it's better to arrive prepared not to miss nice and interesting events.

We were in Athens for 4 days and in my opinion it is enough time to visit the most important places and even go to the seaside. It is worth checking the opening hours of the facilities before planning your visit. in fact, most are accessible within walking distance.

I have never been to Athens before, but this was my first trip here and I absolutely loved it. The food is delicious and the prices are quite similar to other countries I have visited, so I did not find them expensive. If you walk around and explore, you will find many economic and excellent options for food. I did not face any issues related to transportation. However, I heard from the locals that it's important to be careful with your bag and phone and avoid wearing gold jewellery to avoid any unpleasant situations.
First time in Greece and while others travellers (on a tour we took inland) complained endlessly of their hotels in Athens, we were able to express complete satisfaction with the Jason Inn. No, it's not the Hilton: the rooms are basic, the appointments nothing fancy, and (from our windows at least) there was no view. But the locations is great, the buffet breakfast is good (with an exceptional rooftop view), the rooms clean and the staff helpful. Most importantly, it represents great value for money. Would certainly stay there again.
We had a great time during our stay in Greece. Despite initial concerns about check-in, the process was smooth and easy thanks to the hotel manager, Dimitris, who provided detailed instructions and was always available to answer our questions. The room was small but clean, comfortable and quiet. The kitchen was well equipped. The view of the Parthenon from the seventh floor was amazing. The apartment was in a great location, close to dining, shopping and attractions. We enjoyed walking around the city and seeing the sights.
Still Athens was a fabulous little hotel with an excellent, central location and friendly staff. We were walking distance to all major sights of Athens and our host Alex gave great recommendations for food, drink and activities. Alex also made sure that we were comfortable, well taken care of and always welcomed us with a warm smile. He really made Greece feel close to home. On top of that, the beds were super comfy and the breakfast was filling and good! Would highly recommend this hotel if you are ever in Athens!
Staying here was one of our favorite locations on our trip around Greece. The host welcomed us as we arrived to check us in, show us the room and amenities, and provide excellent recommendations around town. At this location, you are walking distance from the entrance to the Acropolis and to the streets of Plaka but the street was still quiet through the day and night. Splurge (a little) for the room with a balcony and view, you won't regret the sunset and sunrise views over Athens!
The location was ideal as I was travelling from Athens the next day on the Ktel bus to Delphi. It was a short walk from the bus station. It was especially good as my Barclays account and the Greek bus company could not work together and I was unable to reserve my bus tickets until I got to Greece. Staying at the Roy meant I could go in person the day before I travelled. The hotelier explained the safety features of the room to me, which was excellent.
This is my first hotel in Greece and I have to say that it made my stay in Athens much more pleasant. The hotel is within 10 minutes walk to the biggest attractions in Athens. The rooms are designed in calming colors and decorations, the staff and the service are super good and helpful. If you book in there you definitely need to book their breakfast because they have really good ones with a very wide variety of choices to eat and drink in the morning.
Awesome in every way! The bed is so comfortable I never wanted to leave it! Everything was spotless! The studio has everything you might need for any kind of trip, the balcony is so spacious and the chairs are comfy. The walk-in shower is great, moving freely in the shower in Greece seems to be a problem, but not here. The host was so kind and accomodating! We'll definitely be back here for our next trips to Athens!
10 out of 10 100%!! Never have we stayed in a place where we felt so at home home but still feel that clean and tidy hotel vibes. Breakfast was included so really nice value altogether! We thought Greece would be a one-time trip but we are now planning to come back again just so we can stay in this lovely place. The staff and the owner are extremely helpful!! Very cleaver name, Still Athens - it really is ❤️
We were very glad to have booked Greece U Around. It’s a great (modern, aesthetically pleasing) apartment, great location, and exceptional value, and the manager and housekeeper are instantly responsive (not that we really needed anything, as the apartment is so well-appointed) – just a text or call away. Next time I’m in Athens, I’ll consider myself fortunate if Greece U Around is available.
Second post covid stay. One night Only between trips to mountains and the islands. Pleasant surprise when bus from Peloponnese dropped us 100m from the hotel. As a base for touring Greece and Athens the Cosmos is ideal. They even have a cold drinks machine in the lobby stocked with beer. Aircon set at 25 degrees which is a bit warm for me as I like to sleep cold
The hotel served as my home base for my travels throughout Greece. As a result, the location was excellent for getting into Athens on the tram, connecting to the highway system for my daytrips to Evia, the Peloponnese, and to use the ferry service for a bit of island hopping. The location was close to shopping, and a wide variety of restaurants and cafes.
Clean room and kind staffs, and good breakfast. When I left the hotel while putting my book somewhere, I knew that later and they tried to find it. However, after leaving Athens, I am still going to another place in Greece. So, I do not know how to retrieve it...Anyway the staffs are so kind.
The hotel was clean, everything was washed and fresh. Had one of the best elevators in greece we have used (the whole family and luggage fit) carpark was great we park right outside the front door in the the free parking and lastly the breakfast was nice and light.
Our flight was delayed for the night in Athens and we had to alter plans. We were very lucky to find this hotel that was within walking distance of fun night out at the base of Acropolis! Delightful meal and great way to start our trip in Greece.
An excellent hotel located in the best area in Athens. The staff is excellent and the rooms (even if not to bed) very comfortable. You have to have dinner in the restauarant. Its the best meal we had in Greece.
very welcoming, wonderful and kind stuff and caring ,clean rooms , comfortable beds, safe inviroment, amazing view
in a nice area one of the best in Athens Greece !
Best breakfast, we had in 4hotels in Greece on this trip . Beautiful roof top bar . Reception staff really friendly , great restaurant recommendation from kostas
