Asked for a room with twin beds as I was sharing with my brother, that was no problem, but on checking out they wanted another 375 euro for up grade but all I wanted was a room with twin beds, no pool or bar open, never stay there again, 3 star rating and lucky for them, should be 2 star

We stayed in Athens totally 3 days. 1 day on the way to Crete and 2 days on the way back from Crete. On the way back, the tourist season was started, and very busy every where. The famous spots were too crowded for us. 'No wait line' pre purchase tickets don't mean anything any more, and just had to wait to get in Acropolis. Athens airport staff shortage as well. Just check in, it took almost an hour. Prechecked in customers also had to wait on the same line for whatever the reason. That being said, the food was great. Most local people speak English and very helpful. So visiting low tourist season would be very nice place to visit. We visited in April.

The city contains what must be the most famous of archaeological sites in the world.
The city is busy and crowded, but the people are welcoming and the food is incredible. We took a 3-hour walking food tour of the Plaka and had the best time, and the best food.
Choose your location carefully, and it's walking distance to shops, restaurants, and historic sites.
Bring your walking shoes!

Don't be fooled into thinking that Athens is just touristy.
Don't be fooled into thinking that Athens is just touristy. There is so much to do there, so much to see, and so spread out. But you can walk it all. Go during April or September on a shoulder season. We were fortunate enough to be there on April 18th, which is international monuments day. Free admission to the sites. Everybody there is kind and Athens is one of the cleanest and sweetest smelling cities in europe. Our stay was indeed too short.

The Acropolis and surrounds, the big museums, the vibe around Monastiraki. Mostly ate in Monastiraki.
Once you've conquered the metro (there's a shortage of direction signs), places on the metro are fine. By road, just don't go there!

The best place to be either for holidays or work!
The best place to be either for holidays or work! Absolutely safe, value for money in most of the cases. So many places to visit, like Acropolis, Monastiraki, museums, Agora, Plaka, beaches etc. I stayed in Glyfada which is one of my favorite suburbs. Food is always great! Best traditional koulouri ever from Koulourades! Best coffee for the coffee lovers. I am vegan and i am happy to see that Athens has many options now!

The birth place of democracy and a place that everyone should visit. Athens was a lot smaller than I anticipated and I was able to see all of it within the time there and without rushing, Multiple 'Hop On, Hop Off' bus services to get you around the main parts. Piraeus is also well worth heading out to on the bus,
I don't even know where to start. We have been all around Greece in great hotels and accommodation but never, never is such a welcoming place as this one. Starting from freshly smelling towels to a level of cleanness i have not seen in a 5 star hotel. Kitchen is fully equipped, outstanding bathroom, and although apartment is not huge it still benefits of 2 air conditioning units which is just a joy. Balcony offers a million star view while drinking a coffe or a glass of wine. If you get close to that location look no further BOOK IT.
nice flat in athens, greece. The best host ever! Clean space and easy communication with them - I highly recommend staying here if you're planning a visit to Athens. At first glance it may seem like this apartment is just another boring hotel room but don't worry because your new home has all of amenities necessary for any traveler: comfortable bedding/ pillows ( Sheet panelles police!), free WiFi access along side kitchen amenities such as pots pans cups dishes etc., private bathroom complete wth shower.
Nice apartment and in a very good position! We've been to Athens many times and we are happy with our choice. Great beds and very comfortable. Pillows are also comfy! The kitchen is fully equipped. Also despite the fact that in Greece the internet connection is not strong enough, this apartment provides a high-quality wifi connection. The check-in process is also soft and easy and the host allows us an early check-in. We will prefer it in the future for sure!
Staff are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was the best I had in Athens - scrambled eggs, bacon, sausages, yoghurt, honey, fruit juices, coffee, breads, cereals. All very tasty! The rooftop bar was also great, with staff taking a photo for us with the Acropolis in view behind us. We went there many times during our stay taking in the great views. This was my favourite hotel in Greece and I'd recommend it to anyone - even just for the breakfast alone!
The apartment is very close to the metro, so this is the best way to explore Athens. You can reach the city centre in ten minutes. The airport is cca 1 hour from here. It is on a relatively quiet street, on the first floor. Well equipped, the kitchen has everything you need. AC, smart TV in every room, strong wifi. I travel to Greece several times a year, but this is one of the best places I've lived. Highly recommended.
This Hotel is simply amazing and worths way more than only 2-stars. Best breakfast that we had in whole Greece on a rooftop with stunning view over the Acropolis. Cosy and spacious and stylish rooms and located in the best neighborhood in Athens (at least in my opinion.) Best restaurants, nice little shops, authentic and no tourist atmosphere and only 1 metro-ride from monastiraki.
Great location if your flight is out of Athens. The room was clean and very comfortable. I liked the separate bathroom and shower area. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I also had a great massage after many hours of touring the Greek islands. Thank you for making my last day in Greece a pleasant experience. The food at the roof top restaurant was excellent-sea bass.
Absolutely fantastic location overlooking the Acropolis right in the walking street around the area. Great access to the Central area of Athens and all the fun features of downtown. Stelio’s had food for us for breakfast and lots of coffee! Even some Uozo to try! And he arranged an incredible driver to and from the airport who we learned more about Greece from than anyone!
It is a little oasis in the middle of a busy part of Athens. Breakfast was excellent, and they even packed us a breakfast for our early flight. The room we had was awesome with a view of the Acropolis. Shower was spacious and the bed the most comfortable of our trip to Greece. They helped arrange transports for us to and from the airport as well. All great things to say!
Very close to the Acropolis and to other sites in central Athens. The staff was very helpful during our stay. We could leave our luggage in the hotel after check-out for several hours - it helped us a lot. It was a wonderful ending to our archaeological and romantic visit in Greece!
This facility was the meeting place for our Rick Steves' Greece tour. You don't expect 5 star accommodations but 3+ star, affordable hotels that are clean, serve a good breakfast, and typically close to the action. Check, check, check. No complaints here.
Centrally located, yet quiet and peaceful. Lovely rooms with a good size. A definite air of the fifties which confers an atmosphere of a certain Greece. Very helpful and welcoming staff. And greatly located next to the two of the best Athens' wine bars.
We stay at this hotel every year when travelling to Greece and we are always greeted like we’ve arrived home! The staff are very friendly and the location is amazing! We love the boutique style of the hotel and rooms! Thank you
It's located right off Monastiraki Square, a large shopping district in Athens, Greece. I love the area, and you can walk to most of the popular attractions in Athens.
of the best hotels. I have stayed in quite a few in Greece but this was special. the room very clean. the staff was polite and helpful. The best Location in Athens
