Det 2-stjerners Onsen Guest House Tsutaya ligger i Hakone, 7 km fra både Hakone Lalique-museet og Hakone botaniske hage for våtmark. The very kind response of the staff and the fact that I could enjoy the outdoor hot spring were very good.

Fin adkomst med buss fra Odawara stasjon, bussen tok ca 50-60 minutter! Hotellets ansatte var svært imøtekommende, og ga oss god informasjon om fasilitetene når vi sjekket inn. Hadde booket massasje på forhånd, som ble utført på hotellrommet, anbefales! Booket også privat Onsen samme kveld før middag, var vel verdt opplevelsen! Brukte også felles Onsen morgenen etter, som også var veldig fint. Både middag og frokost, var i tradisjonell japansk stil, svært variert og gode smaker! Flott totalopplevelse!

Opened in 1878, Fujiya Hotel features Meiji Era architecture set in Hakone’s natural beauty. the hotel facilities were great , the room was huge ; there is free shutteles from the hotel to the train station

Set in Hakone, 8.3 km from Hakone-Yumoto Station, Hakone Gora KARAKU offers accommodation with a sauna, a hot spring bath and a public bath. This was easily the best hotel I’ve ever stayed in. Impeccable and luxurious through and through. Staff are 10/10 as is their bar and dinner

Hot Spring Inn Hakone Suisen offers a hot spring bath and free private parking, and is within 4.2 km of Hakone-Yumoto Station and 3.6 km of Kowakudani Station. The staff was incredibly helpful and nice, I fell in love with each of them. And the girl, who booked food for me, I wish her all the best, she saved my evening that day with her initiative

Set in Hakone, Centurion Hakone Bettei offers 4-star accommodation with private balconies. There is an in-house restaurant, plus free private parking and free WiFi are available. The staff was amazing and super accommodating. The private onsen was a great experience and really nice that your room gets an hour per day.

Boasting a hot tub, Hakone Miyanoshita Myojokan is set in Hakone. The 3-star ryokan features mountain views and is 6.2 km from Hakone-Yumoto Station. Very nice private and natural onsen bath. Nice rooms ans comfy beds. The owner is very kind and had good tips for our stay. We stayed 3 nights. There is an bus stop and train stop near by. There isn't any breakfast but we got Onigri from 7 Eleven which was good. The owner servers tea and coffee. We can recommend to stay in this Ryokan.

Cyashitsu ryokan asakusa har en attraktiv beliggenhet i Tokyo sentrum. Her finner du rom med klimaanlegg, en bar, gratis WiFi og en felles salong. Immaculately cared for with the kindest staff I have ever encountered. You immediately feel at home and taken care of with small touches like skincare in the bathrooms, to big things like the private roof onsen available for free reservation. Fabulous breakfast and we were on our honeymoon so they surprised us with a decorated dessert and Polaroid photo of us!! Over the top kindness that makes me recommend this hotel to everyone and can’t imagine visiting Japan again without staying here.

Situated in Tokyo, within 1.5 km of Sensoji Temple and 2.2 km of Tokyo Skytree, Ryokan Nakadaya offers accommodation with a shared lounge. I stayed at Ryokan Nakadaya on the last leg of my Japan trip during spring. After having seen so much of that beautiful country over two busy weeks, I didn’t think Tokyo could get better than what I had already experienced. Little did I know, I would be so lucky to be in Tatsuo-san’s company. I received a warm welcome, and was showed around the property on arrival. I didn’t even have to carry my luggage to the room as Tatsuo-san took care of it. Each morning, he would ask which area of the city I am planning to visit, and would airdrop me the best recommendations – for food, sightseeing, shopping – you name it, including some rare locations like the Hayao Miyazaki clock which I loved! One morning when it was raining heavily, he offered me a fresh mochi along with some matcha, which was one of my favorite snacks in Japan. He would also perform a little ceremony sparking flint stones to bring me good luck on my travels. Starting my day with such cute interactions with Tatsuo-san was one of the most wonderful highlights of my trip. It felt like I made a friend! As far as the property goes – it’s a charming, vintage ryokan. Each corner is speckless – not only were the common areas cleaned every day by hardworking staff, but so were the rooms. The showers and bathrooms were always clean too, despite being shared. There was also a lobby-like area where you could have tea and enjoy some Japanese snacks. The (single) room itself is a good size for someone who is staying there as a traveler, as you would likely be venturing out during the day. I found the Tatami mats and the futon to be perfect for me as I don’t prefer extremely soft hotel beds, but Tatsuo-san did offer to put more mattresses, in case I wanted them. Like in any ryokan, you have to be careful not to damage the mats, but there are enough shelves and furniture to park your luggage and other bags comfortably. The internet was also fast.
