Quinta De La Rosa ligger på en familieejet vingård ved bredden af floden Douro, 2 km fra Pinhão. Værelserne på denne aktive vingård er fordelt over flere niveauer. First of all, the staff was very kind. We arrived later in the evening and we stayed there only one night. The receptionist said since we arrived late and couldn't enjoy the possibilities of the quinta, after check-out we can still come back to try the pool or eat a dinner in their restaurant. That felt like a very nice gesture. The quinta itself was really beautiful, the view from our room was perfect the windows looked to the river! The design was amazing, too. Tim's terrace had a great tapas and the breakfast was also amazing!

Det 3-stjernede Hotel Albergaria Borges tilbyder moderne indkvartering i Chaves, kun 1,5 km fra byen. Incredibly attentive staff. We are travelling with a baby and the staff preemptively helped us all the time without us even asking. They put us in a room at the end of the corridor so we wouldn’t disturb other guests, helped run food to my husband from the restaurant as he stayed in the room with the sleeping baby, and had a table ready for us at breakfast in a separate to the other guests. These actions just took all the stress out of our stay and shows how attentive the staff are to the customers and do things without it even needing to be asked. Thank you so much for the team to make it a hassle free stay.

Solar de Santa Maria tilbyder indkvartering i Bragança, i en herregård fra det 17. århundrede, i hjertet af den gamle bydel, 75 meter fra slottets have. Der er have med buegange samt gratis WiFi. Meget smukke rum og fantastisk 1700-tals atmosfære. Smagfuldt møbleret store værelser. Værten var særdeles service minded. Morgenmaden var overvældende god. Og endelig var prisen yderst fair. This guest house is a real gem, located in a small farm village about 10 minutes’ drive from Miranda do Douro on the border to Spain. We stayed here for three nights at the end of August 2022, had a bright, cheerful and modern room with huge windows and just a few steps from the pristinely clean swimming pool. The room was not located in the main stone house but in a separate building also bordering the pool. Sunshine and scents of the fruit trees and many herbs tended by the proprietors are some of memories we will take away—along with the homemade cakes available at the breakfast buffet. This old country stone house, renovated for guest lodging, is the perfect place for genuine rest and relaxation. The only sounds you will hear are birds chirping, the occasional dog barking and the splash of water in the pool. The reception was very friendly--we were given some suggestions on nearby sights and where to dine in Miranda do Douro (although the proprietress wanted to remain impartial and not rate them :-) ). The location is a 10-15 minute drive from the town of Miranda. This lodging is not a hotel or resort, but a country guest-house. It fulfilled our expectations and more.

Sipping a glass of complimentary port upon arrival, while watching the sun set and the Douro meander by (all in complete silence) - to die for!
