Kinsterna is elegant luxury without being over-the-top. It is elegant. It is sophisticated. It is exquisite. I found everything to be perfect from the comfort of the rooms, to the spa, to the food and the staff.

The room was very well thought out and aesthetically pleasing. However I would have liked a more friendly seating area outside the room to enjoy the views and the gorgeous gardens.

Breakfast & Pool & Staff! Exceptional! Byzantine Suite was ok but next time i'd pick a brighter room.

We drove from Olympia through Sparta to Kinsterna Hotel. After driving through what might say a little bit run down villages it was unbelievable experience to arrive at this oasis. Everything was so beautiful, the food and staff impeccable! We stayed for 2 nights and took an took a hike in the island of Monemvasia, which is like another world. The only tiny thing which i thing I did not like was the English pop-music played in the restaurant. I would have preferred some Greek or instrumental music, but that is probable just me 😊

We absolutely loved everything. Especially all the activities they had for the guests! We did horse riding and candle making. Έρω the guest experience manager was very helpful. Also the hotel is pet friendly which was great as we had our doggie with us too. A few things that I would recommend would be 1) to further train the breakfast staff as some of them all though were very friendly they were lacking a few serving skills. 2)The same goes for the spa staff. The first therapist didn’t use an eye towel during the treatment while the second therapist did. 3) booked 60’ horse riding all the way to the beach (that’s the description on the website too) for my husband but on the day they ended up going to the surrounding fields which although they were beautiful it was a bit disappointing as we had paid for the beach. All the staff members were very helpful and extremely friendly and nice!!! however it is expected all staff to follow the same protocols in order to keep the high level of service and deliver what they promised.

Kinsterna hotel was an absolute treat!!! We booked a 3 nights stay to celebrate the birthday of my husband and our wedding anniversary. The whole stay was amazing. To begin with the property is absolutely stunning, everything is made with stone, the gardens are filled with flowers and are well kept, the wonderful 2 swimming pools, the restaurant overlooking the seaside, every corner is just so lovely. -Regarding to the room. We had the junior suit and was a very good size. Bed was very comfortable and big. The room had a smart heating arrangement system as the one AC was placed on the entrance of the room heating the whole unit nicely and you also had 2 more AC unites right next to the bed for extra warmth if needed. Best thing was that the control system was placed right above the bed and you literally didn’t have to leave your bed to control the temperature of the room. Very smart and convenient! -The bathroom was very big and super clean. You had everything that you would need ( robs, sleepers, shampoo, conditioner, shower gel and cream, toothpaste and toothbrush, as well as a small vanity kit). Has also a heating rack to keep your towels extra warm. -The mini bar had a good selection even though we didn’t use it. Had free water, coffee and tea. -Room service was very efficient and fast which was really nice!! -The cleaning staff would come everyday to clean and refresh the room and would also come at night to ask if we need any towels which I found it very thoughtful. -Breakfast selection was great including hot and cold item, savoury and sweet options too. Many items were harvested from the gardens of the hotel ( honey, oil, olives, herbs). The dinner menu had a good variety of plates to choose, enough to satisfied even the most difficult guests. -The spa was another wonderful example of the great service that Kinsterna displayed. Had 2 treatments and I was absolutely delighted. The spa manager Nikoleta was amazing as well as Panagiotis!!!

Personalities of the staff

The grounds are certainly beautiful but there seemed to be a disconnect in the staff ! Not real warm genuine but more robotic in nature with the exception the day we met Marthelene Heraud who taught the soap and candle making classes ! She made our stay outstanding ... I would consider her the best asset this hotel has ! Was disappointed in the breakfast spread as pretty as it looked didn't match the taste ... I am sure in the summer months with lots of activities going on there is plenty to do here... the rooms were very clean and nicely appointed.

The narrow roads to get to the hotel, but you will get rewarded once you arrive at this paradise on earth.
