How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Very small room with no fridge or microwave and a very small bathroom. Considering it’s a 4 star hotel this was disappointing.
Fantastic location (close to local shops and tube station) and lovely staff especially Monty in reception and the doorman Joseph. Comfy bed, shower had good pressure.

There were steps in our room, a couple of them were regular-sized steps and one was just a minor step. All camouflaged by the same carpet. The minor step is especially hazardous where we almost tripped and fell and crashed into the wall mirror several times, despite leaving a light on through the night. The bed mattress and pillows were so soft one has to be careful when tossing and turning in bed as you will risk pulling your back as there is hardly any support. We see in the reviews that others have also given feedback regarding this so hopefully the hotel will do something about it. All things considered, we will consider returning to this hotel in the future. Thank you.
Location. Very very close to two tube stations. Walking distance to Kensington Gardens, we love walking through the gardens on our way back at the end of the day. Room we got was quite spacious and clean. Housekeeping was every 2-3 days which was fine with us. Our room was quite quiet and peaceful. The 12pm check-out time was much appreciated.

Small bed - double. Bed couldn’t be any larger as the room was small.
Close to Hyde Park, restaurants and shops around the corner and Hop On stop just down the road.

You can only get fresh coffee in the morning after paying for whole breakfast. So we had to walk a block to find morning coffee. Most hotels have fresh coffee for guests. We're not allowed to charge breakfast t o the room. Had to pay for breakfast before going down to eat. Front desk staff was not familiar with area, nor public trasporta tion.
Breakfast was OK. Reasonably priced.

The main entrance has a step up when you open the door from outside which is hidden and I wrenched my back badly when I stumbled over it on entry.
The area and proximity to transport and shops.

The rooms were clean but not as spacious as I would have liked. The breakfast needs spicing up to be more healthy.. I suggest that the tinned fruit is deleted.
The staff, particularly Muntazar were excellent. They were friendly and polite. Muntazar was super helpful and very professional. He was able to help with my request to stay longer the next day before check out. Thank you Muntazar!

No complaints.
Super nice staff. The bedroom was small but impeccable (clean, great bathroom and shower, modern TV in the bedroom, very comfortable bed). I had an issue with a noisy AC unit outside my bedroom window which made sleeping difficult and after discussing it at the reception I was offered a new room that was much more silent during the night. A big thanks to the staff for this, it made the stay very pleasant :)

The attention of Monty in the reception and Josep, they both helped us since the arrival with our luggage, airport taxi. Very good experience i will come backfor next time i am in london.

The lighting was very dull, would have been better if brighter. The shower was over a very high bath so a bit difficult to get into especially when you’re older.
Good size room, comfortable bed,fridge and safe. Easy to use tv. Great location, 2 minute walk to closest tube station. Staff were lovely.

Really nice staff. Hotel is located in a really good area, quiet neighborhood. Room was somewhat small but we only stayed for 3 days so it was great for what we needed. AC worked well.

room size is small, but I knew that. A bit pricey in general but I guess not for London.
Location, bed very comfortable, comfortable linens and nice thick towels, plenty of hot water, nice quality soap, gel, shampoo, tea, milk, biscuits and water. Able to control room temp, able to open window, staff kind, helpful and genuine. Very easy access (no steps), no issues with elevator, wifi worked great.

The room is a small but it is clean. The staff is polite and friendly. The manager and Monty are very helpful. The location is very close to Bayswater and Queensway. Subway stations. I definitely will stay at this hotel when I return to Imperial College next year.
