Room television would not permit subtitle ‘Off’. This was most annoying particularly with a very distinct time lag in the titles. No room safe - Holiday Inn stay in Berlin 7 months ago, included a room safe. Given that even within UK there is airline advice to have proof of identity, e.g. passports, driving licence, and it is commonplace to travel with iPad, jewellery etc, it is reassuring to have a room safe. For a stay of several days there should be more than a solitary drawer for spare clothing!

The location of the hotel was excellent, we arrived into Bristol by train, and the hotel was only a few minutes walk away. As the lift was not working we were given vouchers for a drink from the hotel bar. The breakfast was extremely good. The hotel is situated only a short walk from the main city centre which was also a bonus. The staff very friendly and helpful. The price we paid was very good value 👍.

my choice for an evening meal was limited as the ovens had broken so I chose a curry and was disappointed as it wasn't very warm and was bland. It was also quite expensive

I liked the location to the station, the price was good, the staff were great, my room was clean and comfortable and the breakfast was good

There wasn't anything we didn't like about the hotel

The location of the hotel will suit people using public transport. The hotel is just a short walk from the train station. Also just outside the train station there are a number of buses giving easy access to the main tourist attractions and the city centre. Because of the train strikes we arrived early and the friendly reception staff were kind enough to store our luggage. leaving us free to visit the Clifton Suspension Bridge before check-in. Our twin room was clean and very comfortable with complimentary toiletries and tea and coffee making facilities. which is always appreciated. There was a note in the bathroom, offering complementary additional toiletries if guests had forgotten something. I thought that was a lovely touch and reflected the kind and friendly atmosphere. We stayed Bed and Breakfast for two nights. The buffet breakfasts were very good and plenty of choice.

The towels were not changed for the 4 days we were there. Since the day we got there until we left the lift was broken and we had to use stairs from 2nd floor. We are both pensioners.

The fire alarm woke us up in the middle of the night, just a mistake but caused myself and daughter a bit of a panic to get dressed and go down stairs.

Location is great, just across the road from the train station and bus stops. Breakfast was good. Staff were lovely. Rooms were very clean and beds comfortable.

The lift. It broke down. I thought it looked very old when I arrived. But I was on the 4th floor and needed to catch a train. The receptionist didn't hesitate to come up and carry my heavy case for me. She deserves a medal.

The staff were lovely.Very helpful and always with a smile. Amazing team.

Tea and coffee facilities in-room are a little less generous than in the past and the carpets in the room are becoming more stained and tired. These are only minor things, though.

Holiday Inn Express at Templemeads is my ‘go to’ hotel when I’m passing through Bristol. Staff are friendly, room comfortable and quiet, and the breakfast is excellent. Close proximity to the rail station is a huge benefit for onward travel. I always feel comfortable and it’s not too expensive

Room is narrow, no cabinet at all, and there is only one chair. It is OK for transient travellers but not for longer stay.

Excellent location, good public transport connections. Hotel and room are spotlessly clean. Beds are extremly comfortable. Breakfast is good, but the choice is limited and always the seem. Coffee perfect.
