Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

Our room was extremely comfortable and the bathroom was amazing with a roll top bath and walk in shower. Breakfast was outstanding with hot dishes cooked to order, all fresh ingredients. Wonderful. Staff were very friendly and attentive. Would definiately stay again. Its location was ideal for shows at The Hippodrome and Bristol Beacon plus walks around the dock area.

United KingdomI would have graded the hotel exceptional except the bed let it down. There were two body shaped dents in the mattress so that when you laid down your head was lower than your feet. I had to sleep the other way around to get a good night's sleep! Not what I expected for the quality of hotel.
The staff were fantastic and very helpful. The hotel was in an amazing location and beautifully appointed. The cocktails and breakfast were delicious too.

United KingdomShame no fridge in the rooms. I know it was not expected, but Hotel du Vin was told it was a very special anniversary visit, nothing was done, not even a congratulations card, upgrade, nor was our request for the room to be ready early done. In the end I know it was not guaranteed or expected, but shame places no longer look to excel on customer care. With that said and understand why nothing was done, hence the reflection on the score, the place is lovely to stay.
Very nice standard of room, large space and very nice bathroom with bath and large shower. Good central location and easy to find. Great breakfast and evening meal.
