The staff is excellent. The best I’ve seen outside the USA. The view of sugar loaf from the infinity pool is amazing. Happy hour is great with live music every night. If you stay in the Gold Status rooms you can take advantage of a free happy hour with excellent food included. The Brazilian champagne is excellent

The beach is at the end of Copacabana which is not the best but you are only minutes walk to Ipanema where the hotel has cabanas and a very nice beachside cafe with day beds and beach lounges.

The location was excellent, right by the beach and close to Leme. Many restaurants and bars nearby making it easy for us to enjoy our time.

We were informed that room service ended at 945 p.m., which isn't consistent with what we were informed at check-in. Ordering drinks from the bar was a challenge.

I stayed in the suite premium, the most expensive room they have. The room itself was ok, but very dated in its decor, and limited in its conveniences (i.e. a suite with living and work space, with a minibar and sink, but no microwave). I do not think the room was worth the price they are charging. I moved to another hotel that is 25% of the price and much better equipped. The room key system was very problematic—for me and other friends staying in the hotel. We each had to request new keys at least 4 times in a 6 day stay. I ordered breakfast through room service one day and what I received was pretty appalling for the price: a paltry, basic omelette, served plain on a plate, had eggshells in it. But the most egregious error, to me, was that I had a friend come visit me for lunch one day and the desk agent told her (not me) that if she stayed more than 15 minutes, I would be charged R$105.
