Cleanliness, I had to ask to have our floor swept and mopped - it didn't happen every day. General cleanliness could be improved on - no soap for handwashing in bathrooms, staff don't start till 8am therefore bathroom rubbish bins not emptied till after then, sink for washing dishes continually dirty.

There was some places at the hostel that felt quite wet so it had a weird smell and some mosquitoes.

I liked the place, it was clean and well distributed. It has many facilities to enjoy, many bathrooms, places to rest, etc. The staff is amazing, always willing to help and even to have a random conversation with you. I loved the fact that even that i left the hostel 2 days ago, they allowed me to store my bags at the lockers before my travel so i didn't have to look for a luggage storage or even walk through the city csrrying my bags.

We liked everything but if I was lucky I would say it would have been great to have a coffee machine 😘

The property is situated in the perfect location in Ipanema,1 min from the beach and with lots of cafes restaurants and shops nearby. Our private room was spacious well furnished with a big bathroom and the best shower!

Besides the hostels said that was a Breakfast included, that was not. And the lockers was too small and they change extra for a bigger locker

The kitchen is very small and the common fridge is absolutely packed with food which makes it hard to find a place to store your own. The dorm beds could have a privacy curtain, since some other guests (like the women in my dorm) would come back from partying and have their bed lights on until 6 am. There were only 3 full bathrooms for the entire hostel, and they were all very old and need maintenance. The bar guy could be a bit more enthusiastic. I never felt like having a drink at the hostel because he was always on his phone and would never smile or say hi back to me. So, not very inviting. It was no surprise that the bar was always empty.

Top location, walking distance to Ipanema beach and close to the metro, restaurants and supermarkets. The rooms were safe and comfortable. You are handed a card key which keeps the dorms safely locked. The hostel in general has a cool chill vibe. The front desk staff are very professional and helpful.

The female's bathroom was on the ground floor - walked outside and downstairs to use the toilet/bathroom. The beds would have more privacy if there were privacy curtains.

According to the instruction the kitchen was not open after 5pm and no labels to label the food.

The room was exceptionally clean and cosy. The staff was very friendly and the common areas were very nice. We felt very safe due to lockers for personal valuables and 24 hours reception. The location is directly in Ipanema-walking distance to the beach, supermarket, market, bars and restaurants. We would definitely book again!

Some things I see as negative; It would be better if there were curtains on the beds. Also, the room I stayed in was very noisy because it was close to the common area. No one interfered with the people who were shouting, playing guitar and singing in the common area at 2 a.m.

It was very humid so the towels had group drying and you can head everything in the hall through the door.

Our only complaint is that we felt the staff could have been more helpful. We asked on a few occasions for advice, tips on going to sites, and there wasn’t much enthusiasm to help in comparison to other hostels. They were perfectly nice though, just not the most helpful when it came to tips!

Very safe, very social and a cute property with lots of plants and trees as well as outdoor chill out area. Location was great, 3 mins walk to Ipanema Beach.

Loud music in the eating/bar area sometimes. Room was a bit smelly, maybe mothballs.

Nice colourful decor with lots of plants. Helpful staff. Allowed us to use lockers (price 10 real each) before and after our stay. Good location near the beach and restaurants.
