Beautiful location. Hotel full of light with wonderful gardens and places to sit and look out to sea. Large and v comfortable rooms and good selection of food for breakfast and dinner. Friendly and helpful staff who greeted you with a smile whenever you met. Hi light was spotting dolphins from pool terrace. So sorry to leave.

I arrived with pretty much the clothes on my back and thanks to amazing people I'm walking out with all name brand stuff and I'm humbly saying this I'm humble, good people do exist you just need to be equal and show love. Pestana Bahia Praia Nature & Beach Resort was the perfect location for our stay. The hotel was centrally located for all our travels and adventures on the island. We booked the Junior Suite with a Sea View. It was huge. The bed was so comfortable. The staff was attentive, friendly and helpful. A lovely buffet breakfast was included in the price of our room. They do serve lunch but we were always out for the day. In the evening they serve a delicious buffet dinner for an additional very moderate price. We drove all over the island in our little rental car - so much to see. The island is lush and green with beautiful overlooks of lakes, valleys and the sea. We definitely needed a week to see everything and we didn't see it all. And the people of the island were so friendly - most spoke perfect English. Sao Miguel is a beautiful place for a vacation.
