Boasting a bar, Aurora Queen Resort Igloos is situated in Saariselka. Featuring a restaurant, the 4-star resort has air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi, each with a private bathroom. We visited this hotel for our honeymoon, and it was one of the best hotel experiences we’ve had. The hotel, the igloos (rooms) and facilities were stunning, as was the nature around it. The hotel is located in the (very snowy) forest, and the whole experience was magical. First off, the owners, Nina and Pasi are extremely charming, friendly, and warm people. They surprised us with some sparkling wine for our honeymoon when we first entered our igloo. Beyond that, they catered to our every request, and were always asking how we were, whether we were enjoying ourselves, and were interested to get to know us at every opportunity. They are wonderful, and they are a reason alone to visit this hotel. The other staff members of the hotel are also amazing, extremely friendly, helpful, and enthusiastic. It is clear that everyone cares about the customers and providing them with a good experience. We want to make a special mention to Henna, who makes anyone happy after a few moments of talking to her, Bjorn, with his contagious enthusiasm about nature, and Anne-Marie, who surprised us by being a fluent Greek speaker! All of these people made our stay special. The hotel itself is quite secluded, but it offers various activities that are fun and interesting, like snowmobiling, husky riding, and others. If you’re lucky, you will be able to see the aurora lights. It’s important to know that this is not guaranteed, as it depends on various factors. We were lucky enough to see them on our first night, and I must say that it was a truly unique experience. The hotel restaurant is also great, especially during night time. On one of the nights I had a reindeer steak, and it was one of the best steaks I’ve ever had! I can’t say enough about how special the igloos are. You have to experience it to understand it! This is definitely a special hotel that offers an unforgettable experience to those seeking a winter and especially a Christmasy retreat. We would highly recommend it :)

El Northern Lights Village Saariselkä està situat a Saariselkä, a 27 km d'Ivalo, i disposa de bar, restaurant, WiFi gratuïta i aparcament privat gratuït. The Northern Lights Village was simply incredible. The aurora cabins were perfect, very clean and modern. We were lucky enough to be able to watch the stars and the Northern Lights from bed one evening. We even had Rituals products in the bathroom! The restaurant and bar was a great communal space and we couldn’t fault the food at all, every dish was fantastic with plenty of choice. A massive thank you to all the staff who were very helpful, welcoming and made our stay so memorable!

L'Ukonjärven Holiday Village està situat en una zona forestal tranquil·la, a prop del llac Ukonjärvi, a 11 km del centre d'Ivalo i a 22 km del seu aeroport. Very comfortable chalet by the lake. We saw auroras twice! You can walk on the lake anytime at night to admire the night sky. Very convenient for aurora seeing. No need to book tours. Right there are your doorstep. You wont be cold, plenty of heaters and an additional fireplace. You need a car to get there.

This Finnish Lapland holiday village is situated right by the Ivalo River. It offers double rooms, holiday cottages, a caravan area, summer cottages and a camping area. Very clean and comfortable. Great location, near the Ivalo town and airport. The resort area is very nice, next to the river. The staff was very helpful and friendly.
