My spouse and I recently embarked on our dream honeymoon in El Nido, and our stay at The Funny Lion made it an extraordinary and unforgettable experience. The personalized touch extended to the rooming done by Cejay, who ensured that our accommodations were spotless, comfortable, and tailored to our preferences. As soon as we entered our room, we were pleasantly surprised to find it beautifully decorated, courtesy of the thoughtful staff at The Funny Lion. The romantic ambiance, complete with rose petals and delicate touches, created an atmosphere of pure bliss. It was evident that the staff had taken great care to make our honeymoon truly special. During our stay, I encountered a minor inconvenience in the form of insect bites, and to my surprise, Feb went above and beyond to find me an insect bite lotion. Her kindness and dedication to guest satisfaction were truly commendable, and it made a world of difference in ensuring our comfort. The building and amenities have been thoughtfully designed with eco-friendly principles in mind, making it a perfect choice for conscious travelers. First of all, It is a 4-5 star place, not 3. I compare to Marriott and Hilton in EU/US, and RC Villas and Resorts are lowering you expectations. Don't miss them because of "4-star+" filter! * Owners care about quality and your comfort. In every aspect. * Cleaning is perfect! * Villa is not big but great layout. * Chef provides high quality every time. Prices are fair * You can get El Nido boat tours in 20mins. 4 wheels airport transfer is possible. * Great view

All staff have got impeccable customer service skills, and the food was amazing, they've got good selection of drinks as well. The place has got really nice views as well, close to shops and restaurants, and they helped out with organizing van transfers and island hopping tours.

We were lucky to rent the beachfront bungalow with loft. This is a great room. The staff are very accommodating and Arnie is the BEST!!! The A/C and Wifi were awesome. We had such a great time.

Romantic remote location with a paradise view. I had wonderful room on top floor which was very private with a view to sunsets and great relaxing area in a balcony. The stuff was extremely accommodating and making you feel well taken care of. Food was fantastic, design details of the room were beautiful... nothing to complain about.

Amazing place to relax and chill in beautiful surroundings. Rooms were clean and cosy, we had everything we needed including space to dry clothes and clean shoes and legs after sand. Staff was super nice and helpful. They took care of us more than we could’ve think of. The personal approach made us feel super comfortable and welcomed. Food in restaurant was delicious! Great breakfast and always some special menu from chef that was just beyond. Even though resort is not located directly in the city that was not a problem at all as we free transport was always available. Also thanks to the fact of being a bit on outskirts we could enjoy silence that was not possible in El nido. I wish we can come back and spend some more days with the outstanding view that the resort offers.

EVERYTHING! The bungalows are so beautiful, extra clean, completely new and the Matratze a proper western standard. You see and hear the ocean and palms from the window and nothing else. The bathroom is another highlight, with an open sky, completely new and again super clean facilities with hot water. This place was really a game changer in my travels, if you want a great deal and not pay the price of a resort! The small beach with just a couple of neighbors feel like paradise. The palms save you from too much sun through the day, but allow you beautiful sunset views. The water is Saphire blue. The family is so welcoming and nice, speaks perfect English and Spanish. Since they as Filipinos but lived in Europe for a long time. The food they cook is incredible, very delicious with the fresh fish and vegetables. Finally alternatives too rice and egg 😅 I was meant to stay only one night as our doing a road trip but I ended up staying another night as it was so beautiful. Even though I should’ve stayed one week.I also did the private island hopping tour with fisherman, which was just a fantastic experience, away from all the tourists. Arriving there is a little bit difficult as the road is bumpy, but renting your own car or bike in Philippines is very easy.but otherwise just contact the family and they will happily organize it cheap pick up for you, as it is very normal that guest houses to offer this service for some little extra money.
