Boasting garden views, Lonnoc Beach Lodge offers accommodation with a private beach area and a patio, around 1.5 km from Champagne Beach. It’s a little paradise, away from the hustle and bustle of Luganville! We had paradise just to ourselves! I really can‘t agree with the last review that was written here. Our rooms were ready when we got there. The Bungalow was really clean, yes maybe some small stains on the white linen (what do you expect in the tropics). Wendy is an absolutely amazing host! She goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome! Food is absolutely delicious in the restaurant and fairly priced as they are large portions as well! They even prepared us breakfast when we had to leave for the airport at 5:45 am!! You can charge your phone while you eat at the restaurant - they always turn on the generator from 6:30 pm - 8pm so you can also charge it in your room. We had no issues with using the solar power even during rainy season. Our Mosquito net had no holes. There are also mosquito nets on all the windows and there is bug spray in the room and anti mosquito coils. All in all it was a very comfortable stay and by far the best price to value ratio we have had in whole Vanuatu! Would stay with Wendy at Lonnoc Lodge everytime!

Espiritu Santo in general is a very nice place. People are honest and friendly, with a lot of incredible places to see. Make sure you visit the following places if you come down to Luganville. - The Million Dollar Point - The Millenium Cave Tour - Malekulu Blue Hole ( Do the kayaking route starting from Oyster island) - Riri Blue Hole - Champagne Beach If you are in for the island experience, head down to the market in Luganville, and they have small restaurants where a meal costs around 3-4 $. More gourmet options are also available specially in the southern parts of the island. Taxis are the main method of getting from point A to point B. The taxi fares are very reasonable, and you can talk with the friendly drivers on a price to take you around the island at your leisure. We used the same taxi driver during our five day stay.
Luganville is a 2 hr flight from Brisbane on Espiritu Santo, the large northern island of Vanuatu. It is quieter than Port Villa and has many outdoor activities and much to see. Many resorts are owned and operated by Australian expats.Food is fresh and wholesome, especially beef and fish. Getting around by local bus or taxi is easy but moderately expensive - but then again its usually a personal trip. Diving and Millenium cave are a must do for the moderately fit tourist.
Luganville is the capital of Espiritu Santo and has plenty of eateries and coffee places, but be prepared to pay cash, as few places accept credit cards (except the hotel restaurants) and there is a hefty surcharge for payment by card (varying from 3 - 5%). Favourites for breakfast/lunch are Attar Café and Natangora Café If you like Chinese food, then you can't go past the Sichuan Chinese next to the 'Tu hotel. You can walk from one end of the town to the other - or if you don't want to walk, taxis / buses are very cheap. Lots to see on Santo - Millenium Cave Tour, Champagne Beach, WWII history, SCUBA diving & snorkelling, Blue Holes (visit the one they take you to up the river by kayak). Wrecks to Rainforest tour organisers in the town centre can organise any trips you want to do. Warning: Vanuatu is not cheap! Accommodation and food prices are on a par with Australia - don't expect Thailand/Bali bargains.
What a wonderful hotel in the heart of Luganville! Mary Jane was an incredible hostess, who helped me with great recommendations of what to do and visit in Espiritu Santo island during my 3-day stay. Hotel with a great price for what it offers, where I had an amazing time, in a comfy bedroom. The breakfast and dinner options were both very tasty! I absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Luganville. If one day I come back to Santo, I know just where to stay ;)
Great tropical location on the beach. Good restaurant. Easy ferry transfer to Luganville.
