Breakfast, continental, served on time in a basket outside the door. A lot of coffee and all very nice. The location right by the river in the absolute historical center of this Viking age old town. Everything is close and parking is easy and free. The family who runs this have done a very clever job and the decoration is superb, boutique is true. I stayed here because the people I was supposed to visit had covid, but this is a place I really like to be.

This is the second time we come to the Furusund hotel and we are looking forward to coming back again. We have always done a lot of trips in almost all other European countries and we find that in Sweden, outside Stockholm, finding hotel choices of high standard is sadly very hard, they tend to be extremely overpriced, come linked with "experiences" that are mostly about drinking in well-decorated bar areas or sharing a spa with people who are drinking (drinking alcohol in the spa seems to be a highly valued activity) and we usually regret going. This is not the case here. This place is simple and beautiful. Elegant but no frills. Has everything you need (including a spa area if you are so inclined) in the nicest location. It is clean, the wifi works well, and it is overall a very relaxing experience. The best part is the food. Best breakfast ever, really pleasant. Last time we had dinner also (this time we were busy somewhere else) and I still remember it.

Siggesta Gård is located in the countryside of Värmdö and offers a sun terrace, parking, bookable sauna and hot tub. WiFi are free for guests. This hotel was perfect for our weekend retreat. While located in the beautiful countryside, it's still easy to reach from Stockholm center. The room was spacious and nicely decorated, and the bed was extra comfy! We especially loved the breakfast buffet made from local organic ingredients.

Set by a fortress from 1735, this waterfront hotel on Värmdö Island offers impressive views of Solöfjärden and the surrounding archipelago. Amazing location overlooking the shipping straight between Värmdö and Rindo. Lovely helpful staff.

Set in Stockholm’s beautiful archipelago, first-class hotel and conference center Fågelbrohus offers a historic setting in Värmdölandet, just a 35 minute drive from the center of Stockholm. The landscapes, the views of nature and open space, the food was absolutely magical, the service staff were all kind and professional and the room was spacious, clean and cozy. They upgraded us for free because we were celebrating our anniversary.

The Åtellet Hotell re-opened in April 2009. It is located at the mouth of the Norrtälje River, with the archipelago and sea at walking distance. Good breakfast, clean and comfortable rooms and nice stuff.
