This place and it's people really deserve some praise! Hard to even start to explain what an incredible experience staying there was. Starting from the pick-up with a boat by Elke (hope this is how you write his name) and some bubbles along the way and the most helpful and detail oriented staff I have ever seen. Beautiful place, location, activities and ofcourse the food by the amazing chefs. Everything was so personalised. Special thanks to Franco at the beachbar for creating good cocktails and chill atmosphere with his guitar, Sebastian who knew exactly where to find dolphins on our sunset boat ride and the chefs for getting us the most delicious lobster we've ever eaten! Cannot recommend this place enough (although almost feeling like I'd like to keep this place a secret because it's too special 😂).

The owners and managers made us feel so welcome, like family. We were able to kayak each day and we loved seeing the wildlife, monkeys, sloths and of course dolphins. The resort is in a beautiful bay with lovely views. The meals were delicious.

Set in Bocas del Toro and with Istmito reachable within less than 1 km, The Lighthouse at Casa Max offers concierge services, rooms, a terrace, free WiFi throughout the property and a bar. We booked a room there last minute, in the morning on the day of arrival, as our shuttle from Bocas was canceled and we had to stay one more night. Check-in went smoothly, we were able to get in the room even earlier than the official check-in time. I liked the location a lot because it is a bit away from the main streets with restaurants and bars and it was really quiet, we enjoyed it. There is a supermarket across the street where you can grab drinks and snacks, and a fridge in the room which made it very convenient and practical. Room nr 8: very spacious, large and comfy bed, a/c, hot shower, balcony with chairs and table (perfect for breakfast). WiFi is very good.
