A recently renovated campground located in Bidiyah, Al Salam Desert Camp Bidiya features a shared lounge. Great location at the foot of a big dune, while still being reachable by a normal car (no 4x4 needed). Beautiful setup with tents and little houses, very clean and spacious. The staff is amazing, would do anything for you. The food is fine, and there is enough for everyone. I liked the open roof shower, especially at night as you could see the moon and stars! The camp is more affordable in comparison with other camps in the area, but the activities have crazy prices. We ended up not booking a any acricitiy at the camp, but enjoyed the stars after the lights go off and woke up early to walk up the dune. Took us about 15min to walk all the way up for sunrise.

Situated in Bidiyah, Moon Light Camp features accommodation with seating area. The campground has family rooms. All units have a private bathroom, free toiletries and bed linen. Our tent is quite spacious and comfortable. Clean and the bathroom is really good. The staff are so helpful.

Situated in Bidiyah in the Al Sharqiyah region, Rashid Desert Private Camp has a balcony. This property offers access to a terrace and free private parking. Rashid is an amazing host and treated us like family. His tents are spacious, well-equipped and pure luxury in a beautiful and quiet spot middle of the desert. The food was the best one we had on our trip. We had a great time with dune-bashing and learning more about camels during the early morning camel school activity with Rashid. We can’t wait to come back again!

I changed my plan during the stay and he helped me get yo the bus station to go to Muscat. Camp was in a great location. Highly recommend!
