Very friendly atmosphere, perfect cleanliness everywhere, comfy common spaces, beautiful garden, small but cozy rooms. It was our first experience of staying in accommodation with shared bathroom and kitchen, I was a bit worried if it would be convenient, but my worries were absolutely groundless. To be honest, I would rate this place higher than some 4 star hotels during our trip.

Scenically set by the Oppstrynsvatnet Fjord, the family-owned Hjelle Hotel rests in a lush garden surrounded by mountains. Jostedalsbreen National Park is 5 km away. This was one of our favourite stays on our Norway road trip. The feel of the hotel is "old fashioned" but just lovely. And the view from our room was just stunning. We also loved our evening meal and walk around the grounds. It's not a 5* chain hotel but we loved the more personal feel about it.

Housed in a 19th-century building by Stryn Bay, this hotel offers individually decorated rooms with private balconies and free WiFi access. Stryn centre is a short walk away. Beautiful hotel, with antique furniture in relaxing area. Nice patio outdoors with view on lake. Good location. Amazing food. Renovated barn is part of the hotel and has family rooms for 4 p: spacious and super modern. Basement has heaters for hiking boots and a washing machine. Breakfast was delicious, staff super helpful.

Stryn House - Hotel & Apartments offers a restaurant, a terrace and air-conditioned accommodation with a patio and free WiFi. Check in was so smooth. You didn’t have to speak to anyone, it was all explained well via email. From where the key is, to what the wifi password is and where to find what restaurant. The room was nice, comfortable (big) beds, clean and spacious bathroom, central hotel and very nice staff.
