The wonderful place to stay, friendly owner (Nimal), the best rice and curry we've ever tried in Sri Lanka! The room has all basic things you need: comfortable bed and pillows, hot shower with good water pressure, AC. The hotel surrounded by forest, just 2 mins to Sinharaja NP office, but many endemic animals can be seen right from your balcony! I've photographed a couple of grey hornbills (male and female), blue magpie and even purple-faced langurs (thanks to Nimal again!). We've spent just one night there, but it's definitely worth a longer stay if you have enough time to relax in peaceful jungle area. P.S. Inside Sinharaja forest we were guided by Nadika (ask her at the national park office). She's a good guide and even found a pair of Sri Lanka frogmouths for us [you're hardly find these birds yourself ;)]

If you are a nature lover,this is the best place you should be.....I spent some wonderful days at Rainforest Mount Villa. The view and landscape is something special-amazing - the villas are right inside the rain forest!!!! And the balcony on the riverbank it was something I really enjoyed. Sarath - the owner of this lovely place, its an amazing man, an excellent jungle guide, professional, generous, and very friendly. It was really nice days that we experienced and we felt right welcome. Finally, there were great tips for our further trip. When we missed the bus just a little, he even drove it miles behind him, so we still get him.

Sinharaja Forest Edge is situated right on the edge of the UNESCO site Sinharaja Rain Forest. The property offers complimentary transportation to the rain forest from Mederipitiya Village. We had an absolutely amazing experience with Sagara as our guide in the rainforest. He was very passionate and enthusiastic. He showed us various endemic species of birds, insects, plants and reptiles. We saw monkeys and beautiful waterfalls. Afterwards we enjoyed tea at his beautiful accommodation. Sinharaja Hostel has an outdoor swimming pool, garden, a shared lounge and terrace in Deniyaya. The property features a bar, as well as a restaurant serving international cuisine. Wow such a wonderful place and the staff was sooo lovely and kind! That you for making me such a great time! I would definitely come back! For that price you get so much! The food there was also so delicious!
