Really clean and neat. So close to the station, only about 40m. Staff is friendly and helpful. The light control in the room is the best one I have ever seen. Located in Tateyama, LOCOMOTION COFFEE AND BED features a garden, shared lounge, terrace, and free WiFi throughout the property. We stayed at Locomotion Coffee and Bed for a couple of days while hiking in the region. From our previous experience in hostels we did not expect anything special but were wholly proven wrong. Locomotion Coffee and Bed was the nicest, most luxurious guest house we ever stayed at. Beds are spacious and comfortable and the common room is quite cozy. There are also a fridge and electric kettle. Aside from a shower the hostel also houses an onsen that can be used free of charge, perfect after a long day of hiking. The staff is very friendly and accomodating. If wished, they can also prepare (delicious!) breakfast and dinner with vegetarian options available. Locomotion Coffee and Bed is located right across from Tateyama Station and the cable car station, making it an ideal starting point to go to Murodō. The mountains around Toyama are also worth a hike. We had an all aroud pleasant time at Locomotion Coffee and Bed and wish to return here for further exploration of the region.

Offering a barbecue and ski-to-door access, Guest House Shiroikiseki is a 7-minute drive from Tateyama Station and set in Awasuno. I had an awesome time getting to know the young family owners and other two guests! Delicious food, great company and close to Tateyama station for the Alpine Route. Even got a pick up and drop off for 1000 yen. Great value!

I was looking for a place quiet in the middle of mountains and an authentic mountain lodge. I was not disappointed, I exactly found the Place! Furthermore, all the staff is very friendly, helpful, happy people and welcoming 🙂. and the food is excellent, so I really recommend this place to anyone looking for mountain ⛰️ spirit.

Surrounded by picturesque Northern Alps Mountains, Hotel Tateyama is located 2450 meters above sea level in Tateyama, right in the middle of the Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route. Super location. Staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast and dinner very good. Will be here again for sure.
