Featuring a garden and an outdoor pool, Antica Filanda offers classic accommodation in Capri Leone. Located in the countryside, the property is 15 km from Capo d’Orlando. The breakfast was continental and executed perfectly. The reason for our stay was to have dinner at the restaurant which is one of the best anywhere. The food was excellent and the onsite lodging was functional, inexpensive and comfortable. The staff was terrific.

Alimunera features a seasonal outdoor swimming pool, garden, a shared lounge and terrace in CastellʼUmberto. We had the best time staying with Mela, Sebastiano, Francesco et al. We went on fantastic tours of the local towns with Caro (a local archaeologist and history teacher) and Francesco, where we wandered through abandoned villages, nature reserves (where we saw herons, ducks, horses, cockerels and wild saffron), lovely churches and even a local olive oil producer where we got to see the whole process from harvest to bottle! We also did a pasta making class with the wonderful Mela who taught us, whilst all of us were cracking up laughing, how to make gnocchi and maccheroni, which they then cooked for us and served for lunch and dinner; bella pasta! Alimunera is a converted 1920’s post office, it’s a lovely building that is very nicely decorated. Our room was spacious and calming with a massive veranda complete with table, chairs and sun beds. There’s a seasonal heated swimming pool to be enjoyed too. When it came to leaving, Mela made us friendship bracelets (even one for our four year old niece back home!) and also bought us leaving presents, we couldn’t believe it and it felt like leaving our closest family. A beautiful place, a beautiful area and beautiful people!

Set 4 km from Mirto, Borgo d'Orlando - Country Boutique Hotel provides a seasonal outdoor swimming pool, a sun terrace, and free WiFi. All the staff from house keeping, reception and kitchen were extremely friendly and helpful. We had a difficult situation where the staff (Daniella, Gianluca, Marija and others I cannot remember the name of) proved invaluable in helping and supporting, even giving us their personal contact info if needed. They also gave us great advice in where to eat and what to see while in Sicilly. Breakfast was really good. The rooms big and very clean. The hotel complex is very beautiful. When we come back to Sicilly we will for sure stay here again

L'Hotel Palazzo Fortunato està situat al centre històric de Sant'Agata di Militello, a la costa nord de Sicília. Ofereix habitacions elegants amb un disseny minimalista, Wi-Fi gratuïta i TV LCD. Good sized room and nicely decorated, but it's a little tired. The lights were very complicated - we had to ask for help to turn them off! Big and very comfy bed. Historic building. Very short walk to the seafront. Good breakfast. We found free on-street parking nearby.

Located between the Nebrodi and Etna Regional Parks, Da Marianna is an intimate hotel at 1,100 metres above sea level. It offers free Wi-Fi, a pool and a Sicilian restaurant. This place is wonderful. The scenarios in the area are amazing. Luciano and Francesco are extremely friendly and makes you feel at home. Staff are very friendly and and are all with a smile on their face. Free and safe parking especially for motorcycles. Definitely we will be there again.

Hotel Sant'Anna is located in Floresta, within 46 km of Gole dell'Alcantara and 34 km of Brolo - Ficarra Train Station. This 3-star hotel offers room service and a tour desk. We went to Sicily for 8 days over Christmas and this was by far the highlight. Floresta is a small village located at 1300m in the Nebrodi mountains, and our room had a very nice view of it. The owner also owns a small shop and restaurant downstairs and we had dinner there too. The food was locally produced, tasted amazing and felt so homemade. The owner was also such a friendly gentleman. The room itself was nice too, very clean and featured a large bathroom.
