Completely renovated in 2016 and set 300 metres from Bled Lake, Old Bled House provides accommodation in Bled consists of family and double rooms. Free WiFi is provided in all areas. The stay was perfect. The staff is very friendly and attentive. For international visitors, they speak perfect English (and I mean it). The facilities are very cosy, well kept and clean. We missed absolutely nothing and slept like kings. The views of the lake and mountains, in our case, were spectacular.

Everything was perfect! Location, the garden in the evening having a drink as if we were spectators overlooking the surrounding mountains and the playfull sun, sunset and clouds show, cleanliness, breakfast, relaxed atmosphere, services and kind and helpful staff.

Jesenice is an old industrial town and it still shows. There have been many improvements to the town and with a little more time I am sure it will be fine. Surrounding area is beautiful especially Bled and Bohine and the Julian Alps generally. It is also very easy to get to Italy and Tarvisio in particular as well as into Austria

A beautiful alpine setting and Autumn is a great time to visit as the colours were amazing. The lake is only 6km round and the paths are very easy so we walked and cycled round it. Worth hiring rowing boats ( we rowed ourselves) to get over to the island and ring the wishing bell in the church. Chilli restaurant was good for vegetarian/ vegan diets and the famous Bled cream cake is delicious ( we had it twice!). Worth making the trip to Vintgar Gorge and to Bohinj and the cable car up the mountain (but wait for a clear day to do this!). We could have stayed much longer to walk in the Julian Alps.

For me the best place in Europe. Out of all my journey in 26 countries across EU, this is the place I will go on any season without any reason. The walkway around the lake is the best place to for an evening or early morning walk. For the view point one need to climb a small mountain/hill which may take around 30-40 min. But it's worth climbing that. The scenic view from that place is really awesome. Lake with castle and the surrounding Julian alps backdrops are soothing for eye. From Bled one can also visit Vintgar and Lake Bohinj by bus. Bus shuttle has a proper schedule timing display and most of the buses comes on time. Keeping Bled as base with the help of mountain guide one can also visit Mount Triglav (highest point of Slovenija) and the seven lake trekking.

Bled is beautiful but a bit of a tourist trap. The island is 14 euros and a further 7 euros to go into the church, with only 40 minutes to spend on the island. Priority is given to groups on the boats which meant that as a solo traveller I had to wait for a long time -in the rain, even though there were spaces on the boats. Bled is a good base to explore the rest of the Julian Alps but for those looking for beautiful landscapes, Lake Bohinj is much quieter and incredibly beautiful.

Loved this little town - it was the chocolate festival with at least 200 stalls of various SLovenian chocolate manufacturers with very different flavours on some of them - olive oil, hempseed. It was a beautiful afternoon, there was an organ grinder in the square and a marquee with an oompah band with accordian, bassoon, other instruments and a singer, I could have listened to them for hours. Went to the gingerbread house and were impressed with the beautifully decorated gingerbread hearts, wish I could have bought some but not easily transportable. Enjoyed a meal of the local carniolan sausages and poteca cake, stayed in at a guesthouse with a garden overlooking a beautiful valley with postcard views, the Julian Alps in the background.

A beautiful place with fantastic views of the Julian Alps and so much to see. It was easy to get around, you can walk the whole way around the lake and it is flat and well paved making it accessible to all including wheelchairs and buggies. Plenty of places to eat and we didn't have any trouble finding food we liked. It's just a shame the lido was shut for the end of season when I visited.

We can imagine Bled as beautiful as it was 50 years ago, when there were no ugly concrete buildings spoiling the view over the Julian Alps. Way to0 overpriced, no nice place to have dinner, that is if you prefer a nice quieter place away from the main road. Expect bus loads of tourists, traffic jams... depends on what you expect from your holidays ofcourse but one night was too long for us...

Bedding and linens were high quality, the bathroom was spacious, and there was plenty of storage. The complimentary breakfast was exceptional, with extensive home-made offerings (including cooked-to-order eggs). The hotel also provides a number of mountain bikes that are free to use on a first-come basis. Parking was free. Gardens were beautiful and staff was extremely helpful and friendly.

Is such a quiet area. From the balcony we enjoyed the mountain view and in the night you can see the stars, that's cause the place is a little secluded from the city lights. We went to Mojstrana for a winter ascent on Triglav peak. We totally enjoyed our stay at the rozle apartment and we'll come back there every time we will visit the Julian Alps!

She is very nice and gives great tips for places to visit.
