Situata in una cascina ristrutturata accanto al Lago di Lagarfljót, nel paese di Eglisstadir, questa struttura offre sistemazioni luminose e moderne con TV a schermo piatto, connessione WiFi gratuita... We reached this hotel in the evening, after hours on road it was our safe and comfortable place. Thanks a lot to reception guy (we forgot to ask the name), he was really nice and gave us some advises about visiting places around, also shout out to Austėja, thanks for recomendations, we saved a lot of time during next day trip to Reykavik. One more thing to mention, this hotel will stay in my memory for the all life, as the first Nothern light was captured here! Breakfast was perfect! Best regards from griup of lithuanians! 💚

Situata a Hornafjördur, vicino al porto di Höfn, questa struttura offre l’opportunità di dedicarvi a svariate attività all'aperto. Modern and elegantly renovated hotel, super friendly staff! Our room had everything we needed and was perfectly arranged and equipped! The breakfast was outstanding and had everything, even local specialities! We arrived late, but our receptionist kept the bar open for some glasses of wine for us.

Dotato di viste panoramiche sul famoso ghiacciaio Vatnajökull e sulle montagne circostanti, l'Árnanes Country Hotel offre la connessione WiFi gratuita. The room was today and clean. Location was just outside of the main town to easy to travel in for food etc. Breakfast was really nice, plenty of choice and lots of homemade / local items. The staff were very friendly and informative as we were stuck in a storm due to road closures.

The hotel is family owned and very pleasant. We really enjoyed the local flavor for breakfast. There was a nice variety with veggies, eggs, and homemade goodies - bread, pastries, and jam. They offered fish and meats too. Free coffee and tea all day! We had vegan burgers for dinner that were very filling and tasty. We found the room to be spacious and very clean. There was only soap available in the room. The staff was great, so nice and responsive before arriving. There was a cute gift shop too. I liked all the animals on display. Fantastic location to visit Diamond Beach and Glacier Lagoon, it's only 25 minutes and worth the drive especially for the value.

Hotel Stadarborg is in Breiddalur Valley, next to Road 1 and less than a 1-hour drive from Egilsstadir. Great place to have a stop for the night when entering the fjords. Good food friendly staff. And the hottub with the sauna makes it better.

Just 5 minutes’ drive from Höfn in south-east Iceland, this hotel is found along Route 1, close to the country’s largest glacier Vatnajökull. Our stay in this hotel was amazing. We had everything we needed. There was a kettle, tea and coffee in the room. The room was clean and comfortable for group of 3. Tasty breakfast with a lot of options. The staff is friendly and helpful. Great mountains view from the window. Around 10 minutes to the big supermarket. I would like to come back to this place again.

Staff are exceptional from reception to barman to restaurant staff. Friendly, open warm and generous. Staff really make a property and the staff here were no exception. Worth staying if you need a clean well appointed good value for money stay
