You can arrange/discuss all your travels and activities with him via WhatsApp prior. And his wife is a great cook! This is a unique opportunity you will be lucky to have. It’s a homestay (not some bland hotel experience) so come ready for adventure.

Komodo Resort is located on Sebayur Island bordering Komodo National Park, an hour’s boat ride from the Komodo Dragon Tour on Rinca Island. Fantastic location for diving and snorkeling. Well organized dive shop. Great food.

A recently renovated homestay situated in Komodo, near Pink Beach, Dua Putri Komodo Homestay features free WiFi, a terrace and a shared lounge. We are a French couple and tried this genuine experience for 3 nights on beg December 2023. We are very happy and recommend it, but we believe it must be clear what to and not to expect. We hope the details below will help other travelers. First challenge is to contact Jahiding, the lovely host who is also a komodo ranger. You will get his WhatsApp once you book the stay. Once on the Island, Jahiding will take care of you from A to Z, he stayed with us as the guide during the tours we planed with him and the captain. It's a private small boat (meaning not big) and you can choose where to go and how long you stay at each spot. We believe It was a privilege compared to other tours with dozens of people and timed visits. -Transportation The main challenge is to get to komodo Island with the "phantom" public boat that nobody knows about. It does exist and is actually located in a separate Harbour. Here is the GPS location : -8.484518,119.876788 The name is "TPI Kampung Ujung port". There is a smelly fish market to go through, not hard to miss. Price is 100k IDR if captain does not try to charge the tourist fee. You have to ask people around the boat if it is the correct one as there is no ticket to buy in advance nor any special desk. Just hope on the boat once you are sure it is the right one and pay when you arrive. The boat is mid size and around 20-30 people make the trip. It is not a ferry, it is much smaller, around 20 meters long and 4 meters wide and only one deck with shade. Transport takes 4h and is noisy (depends on the boat you have), travelers are komodo residents which are all very kind. Be prepared for basic confort, no seat no bench, just boat wood. No toilet break neither. The boat schedule as Jahiding told us is as such, and you will have to plan your stay based on this. From Labuan to Komodo Monday, Wednesday, Friday. Between 9am and 11am. From Komodo to Labuan Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday between 9am and 10am.

Angel Island Eco Resort offers a great tropical escape on a private Bidadari Island, which is located about a 30-minute boat ride from Labuan Bajo. Stunningly beautiful and peaceful island with great snorkeling a few metres off the beach and kayaks you can use for free any time. Staff were lovely and I enjoyed chatting with Kate, who runs the place. Cabins were very comfortable with an outdoor shower in an enclosed courtyard.

Even though it was off-season, the staff were attentive, wonderful and accommodating, the property was amazingly well maintained and super clean. The room attendant paid attention to detail and even laid slippers out for me after a day tour. The room was spacious. They provided a shuttle to my next stay instead of a return to the airport without me requesting it. Convenient and no hassle. Well worth the price to stay. I’ll be honest, don’t expect a beautiful beach to leisure at, but it’s nice for a stroll and pool is fantastic. Pool towels were handed to me with a warm smile. Everyone had a welcoming smile and were ready to meet my requests. It was a great place to relax. I ordered diners from Grab which was so convenient.

Located in Labuan Bajo, within 400 metres of Bajo Komodo Eco Lodge Beach and 2.1 km of Pede Beach, Hôtel La Belle Etoile provides accommodation with a garden and free WiFi throughout the property as... Very clean and nice room in a beautiful building. The owner André was very keen to help us for everything, even setting up a last minute private boat tour for 2 days 1 night. The position is a bit far from the harbour and the main street, where all restaurants and activities are, so you need a moped or a taxi to move every time. One can see great sunsets from the beach nearby.

Le Pirate Island ligger i Labuan Bajo, og har restaurant og bar. Alle rommene på ferieanlegget har sittehjørne. Nærmeste flyplass, Komodo Labuan Bajo lufthavn, ligger 7 km fra Le Pirate Island. Perfekt sted for en liten digital detox og lade de mentale batteriene. Dette er ikke et sted du drar for å feste og sove bort dagene. Man våkner når solen står opp og legger seg tidlig. Det er fantastisk mye fint å se når man snorkler og man får god tid til å blant annet leser bøker. Alle som jobbet her var snille, hjelpsomme og ga god service. Maten var upåklagelig. Jeg vil absolutt reise tilbake hit en gang i fremtiden.

The rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable. Best of all is the excellent help. They were helpful and always happy. The beach was very nice to look at! Would love to come again!
