Boasting a privileged location, 300 metres from the gate of Monemvasia’s castle, Malvasia Traditional Hotel offers stone-built units most with views over the sea. We were housed in a peaceful nook of the castle, but we were still within easy walking distance of the town square and its many shops and restaurants. The only challenge is navigating the tight streets with our bags because they are either cobblestone or medieval pavement.

Lying on a private beach, a 30-minute drive away from the village of Monemvasia, Alas Resort & Spa offers 5-star accommodation with views over the Laconic Gulf. The service was excellent. The amenities at the spa were top notch as was the pool. The view from the hotel and from our room was spectacular. We were also given a complimentary upgrade.

Just 50 metres from the beach in Elia village, Elea Mare features self-catered accommodation with straight or side views of the Laconian Gulf. Free Wi-Fi and private parking are provided. Second time staying at Elea Mare and it is our favourite hotel to stay at when visiting the area. The location is perfect, the rooms are clean and comfortable and the staff are amazing. We will always come back everytime we travel to Greece without a doubt.
