In the centre of Livingston, Livingston Lodge Hotel has hotel rooms with a private shower room and free WiFi access. It also has free parking. Good location if one wants to visit Edinburgh and Glasgow, and wants to have an affordable accommodation. The train station is just 10 min walking distance and it takes additional 20 min by train to reach the city. The public pub serves good pub food and there is a grocery shop and lovely sandwich/pastry shop nearby (you have to grab their bacon roll for breakfast).

Court Residence Aparthotel offers suites in Linlithgow's historic town centre. The property is only a 15-minute drive from Edinburgh Airport. The location was fabulous. We were able to walk to restaurants as well as points of interest. The property itself was stunning as the charm of an old courthouse has been retained. We were a group of 7 and all three rooms were different. Our room had the original beautiful wooden shutters that folded over the inside of the windows and our friends had a family room that contained a jail cell room. The bathroom floors were heated and we had a lovely walk in shower. The rooms have been renovated to a very high standard.
