We were welcomed with a lot of enthusiasm and caring to this beautiful country inn right on the Dordogne River. Sitting on the patio looking out over the valley was a bit of heaven! The dining room was lovely. It was a fine base to visit nearby Sarlat La Canadia and to see other ancient buildings in the Dordogne area.

The garden is beautiful, the building has been redone with upscale and luxurious taste. The amenities are comprehensive such as exercice room, steam room, whirlpool and outdoor pool. The room is spacious with a superbly luxurious bathroom. The garden ground with grown and flower trees, is gorgeous. Breakfast, at extra for us, is top notch with viennoiseries, a variety of French and other types of bread, cold cuts, cheese, juice, expresso coffee and fried eggs. The hosts Thierry and Anne-Marie are solicitous, providing great assistance for places to visit and restaurants to choose for dining out. Top cleanliness. Our experience with this place is 5 stars.

This hotel is just 170 metres from the Cro-Magnon Shelter and 350 metres from the National prehistoric Museum. Dating from 1964, it offers a heated, outdoor swimming pool and an on-site bar. Room was wonderful==the size, the decor, the outside deck/patio, the shower. The staaff were extremely friendly and helpful in every way imaginable. The outside landscaping and pool were very nice also, aa was the location.

Located less than a 5-minute walk from the train station in Les Eyzies, near Cro-Magnon rock shelter, Hôtel Le Cro-Magnon offers an outdoor swimming pool and a shaded terrace. The hosts are just the nicest people. There are so many other positive things I could say—I’ll highlight some here: The owners have an electric car charging station with better rates than I’ve seen elsewhere. The pool is glorious. The professionalism of staff exceeded expectations—staff were attentive to your needs (and thoughtful) without being overbearing. The breakfast room’s wallpaper and decor was so beautiful—like a scene out of a magazine. The patio to our room offered a lovely private escape in the shade with lounge chairs for both sitting on lying down. Super short walk to restaurants, but our best restaurant experience was actually at the hotel! No matter if you’re used to super high end hotels or just want a homey low key experience, this hotel has a magical way of being perfect for anyone. I just love this place.
