First off, the service at this place is exceptional! The staff was incredibly helpful, very competent and extremely friendly. at check-in we received a little gift with some cookies and tea. the room was a bit small but impeccably clean and the view on the mont blanc was amazing. the garden and spa area outside is beautiful as well. we had to check out before breakfast hours and staff was so friendly as to bring as a huge tray with everything we needed to our room. you can see and feel that there is a lot of attention to detail at this place which is why we can only recommend it.

Situated in Chamonix, at the foot of Mont Blanc and at the heart of the Alpine mountains, the Grand Hotel des Alpes offers unique accommodation. Firstly,I would like to say that all the personal from the receptionist to the driver were excellent, kindness and very helpful. They gave us more than we expected. The location is in the centre. So it is very close to restaurants, ski shops, cafes. The hotel is not close to the ski areas but they have free shuttles. you can arrange for return and they are really helpful with times when you want to come back early especially due to bad weather. Nice snacks from 16:00 to 11:00, which you can enjoy with sweet and savory snacks before going out to dinner.

It is small, but has everything you need, great heating, a lovely heated pool on premise, and very kind owners and managers, who were lovely to deal with and very helpful. Les Houches is part of Chamonix valley with a free bus taking you to ski at other parts of the valley, but we actually preferred Les Houches so by the end of the week were just skiing there.

This good-sized apartment is a little dated but clean and largely fully functional. Large family dining table, comfy sofas, quality beds, amply linen&towels, sufficient kitchenette! It was a great experience to stay 4 nights at Vert Lodge. Amazing place, very cozy. Waking up every morning with the sight of Mont Blanc just by your window was magical. Loved the 20 minutes walk to the center of Chamonix itself, was great to enjoy the views and locals. Also, the hostel is two minutes away from Lac de Gaillands, which is an amazing view spot to Aiguille du Midi and Mont Blanc itself. Also close to some classic trails like La Jonction, and an amazing view from Glacier des Bossons. The staff was very polite and helpful; excellent breakfast; well equipped kitchen, toilet and room; the bar/restaurant was cozy and always filled with nice people from all over the world. If I ever return to Chamonix, will definitely book this hostel again. Thanks a lot, you really were made a huge contribution on making my experience really special!
