Cafe-Restaurant & Hotel Saima bevindt zich in Savonlinna en heeft een tuin, een terras, een restaurant, en gratis WiFi in de hele accommodatie. the breakfast was delicious and one had choices. we purchased a take away lunch (croissant sandwiches) and it was very good. the hosts were very attentive and truly delightful! we hope to come back to visit.

Dit kleine boetiekhotel ligt naast het Saimaa-meer in Savonlinna, op slechts 100 m van de brug naar het kasteel Olavinlinna. Absolutely one of the best little places I've stayed anywhere! It's a cosy little place with only a couple of rooms which open up to a lawn with an amazing view of the castle and the lake. The owner was so welcoming and friendly. I enjoyed getting to chat with her after breakfast and learning more about the area. It was more akin to being a welcomed guest in someone's home rather than just a customer as a hotel. I would absolutely stay there again!

Dit hotel uit 1930 is ontworpen door de Finse architect Wivi Lönn en ligt aan het Saimaa-meer. Het kasteel Olavinlinna ligt op slechts 400 m afstand. The location of the hotel was excellent. Its right on the edge of the lake and it was very quiet and peaceful the castle is only a couple of minutes walk away and the harbour and town were less than a 10 minute walk. It's an old building with beautiful old style rooms. Our room was really big with a nice sitting area and a separate kitchenette with a sink, two ring cooker, kettle, fridge and utensils.. Tea, coffee, and sugar was supplied but no milk. The beds was very comfortable and the bathroom was lovely. It was well stocked with very nice toiletries. The breakfast was excellent. There was a wide variety of both hot and cold foods and extremely tasty. The staff in the hotel were extremely nice and helpful.

Spahotel Casino is located on a private island on Lake Saimaa, 500 m from city center of Savonlinna and the 15th-century Olavinlinna Castle is 1.5 km away. Rooms are good. As we all are vegetarian..so took only coffee and croissant

Dit hotel is gevestigd in een gerenoveerd 19e-eeuws gebouw aan de oevers van het Saimaameer. Het biedt gratis WiFi, een terras en kamers met een minibar en een zithoek. we got a very special room with a loft bed and a small stove with an oven which we used for the evening meal. The breakfast was plentiful with a very good croissant in a nearby restaurant.

Dit hotel ligt op 500 meter van het treinstation van Savonlinna en op 10 minuten lopen van het 15e-eeuwse kasteel Olavinlinna. Alle kamers zijn voorzien van een televisie en een minibar. The property is perfectly located next to the center, market, restaurants, grocery shop, train station, boat piers, only the long distance bus station is inconveniently located in totally different neighborhood. The room is modest and the bathroom somewhat inconvenient because of the placement of sanitary fittings in the bathroom. Anyway, everything was doing its job in a satisfactory way. It is also true that the price was quite high, but this is something that is so understandable for the July when famous opera festival/event takes place in the nearby castle/fortress of Olavinlinna. Also, I have noticed that Savonlinna, even without the opera festival is so admired by so many visitors from all parts of Finland and foreign countries, myself included, because of its astonishing beauty and possibility to enjoy in so many sights and activities. To conclude, although the room was simple and modest and although the price was high, I would return to this property because it represents a very good choice for staying and enjoying wonderful Savonlinna.

Tanhuvaara Sport Resort ligt naast het meer Suurjärvi en beschikt over een eigen strand, een buffetrestaurant en diverse activiteiten op het terrein. For one night stay everything was good. Nothing stood out as really good.
