Just 100 metres from the bridge to Olavinlinna Castle, this small boutique hotel is next to Lake Saimaa in Savonlinna. It offers individually decorated rooms with scenic views and free wired internet.... Absolutely one of the best little places I've stayed anywhere! It's a cosy little place with only a couple of rooms which open up to a lawn with an amazing view of the castle and the lake. The owner was so welcoming and friendly. I enjoyed getting to chat with her after breakfast and learning more about the area. It was more akin to being a welcomed guest in someone's home rather than just a customer as a hotel. I would absolutely stay there again!

Such an enchanting place ! Everything so special, super nice breakfast with natural ingredients. I think the best service I have ever gotten.

The only reason for most people to go there is the opera festival. Otherwise it's a small city in eastern Finland that happens to have a mediaeval fortress on its doorstep. The area is beautiful though, and I suppose would be good for outdoor activities, particularly canoeing and fishing. But we go for the opera, which is always worth the trip. (Er, young couples like us? A pair of old crocks, more like.)

The front desk was extremely friendly and accommodating of our needs. While the hotel is dated, the location was beautiful and the beds were very comfortable. The rooms and bed linens were very clean as well.

Have stayed here before. The holiday homes have everything you need in them. Large fridges and small freezer space. Parking right outside the allocated cabin. Sauna was good for an electric one. Beach a little far from the cabin / sauna, but manageable. About 300 meters. Staff good despite having some issues with both check in and check out due to technical problems.

The ambience of the place is what I liked the most here. A bit away from the highway by the lake amid the picturesque landscape of Punkaharju, the resort is among the perfect places if you are looking for a place to unwind. The Punkaharju ridge and the nature trails in Lusto area are just a few kilometres away - you can either walk or rent a bike from the reception. Apart from this, one can participate in a number of leisurely activities. The resort also has an aquatic park and rope park close by. For food you can visit their restaurant or even cook in the kitchen if you are camping. Talking of camping, they have quite a large area for pitching tent or parking caravan. Other options to stay include cottages. I stayed in one of the small economy cottages with two beds. It was decently size with a refrigerator and a microwave a couple of chairs outside. Given the size of the cottage it does not include any closet but has a shelf to keep stuffs. Finally, before I forget, I need to mention the staff who were very helpful and always served with a smile.

Everything was excellent. The room was cozy and very comfortable. It has everything, what can be needed during the stay. The quality of the internet connection was very good. The room was beautifully decorated. If you come to pray, you can not bring your own icons, since the room has one big icon.
