Breakfast was very good, a lot of choices and local products and fruits. Possibility to pack lunch for when you are hiking, biking, etc. Free coffee and tea during the day. Very welcoming and friendly host. Location is also excellent, the hiking routes start right in front of the hotel.

Haus Stehlings features views of the Old Town of Monschau. The guest house provides guests with free WiFi and is located a 1 hour drive from Cologne. Our stay in Haus Stehlings Monschau was perfect! The key collection was very easy, and the communication with the host was equally simple. He gave us perfect directions regarding car parking, and kindly sent a message via WhatsApp, right after our arrival, to check if everything was ok and if we needed anything. We also felt warmly welcomed by the thoughtful gesture of the "printen" (a must-have local gingerbread) on our beds. :) Our two-bedroom family room (Castle Room) was large, clean, comfortable and had a jaw-dropping view of the fairytale town of Monschau. Located right in the middle of the historic area, we were able to walk all around. We also walked to the shops/supermarket that are about 3 km away, in town. I highly recommend this property. Thank you, Johannes, for the excellent stay!

The room had very comfortable beds, it was very clean and quiet, and it had an amazing view on the lake. The staff was friendly even though they only spoke German we could communicate perfectly, the breakfast was indeed suberb, lots of fresh products, and they made us scrambled eggs on the spot. All the facilities are new, the bathroom was renovated and it had very hot water, all good. Lovely hotel, would visit again for sure.
