Don't trust the photos. The real object is much more original and beautiful. We were overwhelmed by the design, interior as well as exterior, which integrates the surrounding mountains without a hint of rural kitsch. It's paradise for art lovers, an attraction to excellent conversations with the open-minded owners. If we are what we eat, we become kinder and braver after each breakfast, since we just realize how blessed we are to have entered the gates of this palace, sorry, place.

Oferecendo varandas e terraços privativos com vista para os Alpes Bávaros, este hotel está localizado em uma área tranquila em Murnau am Staffelsee. Unfortunately, I had to come to Murnau because my father had an accident and was at the hospital. After making the reservation I told the personnel about my situation and they were very supportive about everything. They gave me advice about how to legally deal with this situation and gave me special treatment from the start. One must really be thankful to people with such big hearts.

Good location, in walking distance from train station and nice restaurants/cafes. The owners are very nice and courteous but no English speaking as far as I could gauge; good breakfast as I am sure others have mentioned.

O Lago Staffelsee fica a 5 minutos de carro.... The location of this hotel is excellent, right on the Untermarkt (old main street), a quick walk to everything in Murnau. We were unfortunately visiting because of a family member inpatient at the Unfallklinik, which is also walking distance. The hotel staff are friendly, warm and accommodating of every need or wish. They were understanding of our needs as family of a hospital patient, and flexible with additional parties arriving and booking more rooms on short notice. They also offered a discount for longer term stays. The rooms are spacious, clean, and fitted with furniture that makes it feel more like a personal home or apartment than a generic hotel room. Complimentary mineral water and laundry service added peace of mind, and the sauna, steam room and infrared cabine were comforting at the end of a long stressful day.

Located in Kochel am See, just 1.5 km from Lake Kochel, this 3-star-superior hotel offers rooms with free Wi-Fi and traditional Bavarian cuisine. The hotel is traditional yet modern. Nice and clean. The breakfast is excellent, and the staff, specifically the owner - is absolutely lovely! Made me feel real welcome, and almost like at home. Will definitely stay in this hotel when I’m again in Kochel, and recommend it over other hotels in this town (have stayed in a couple others). Thank you for a lovely stay!
