Offering an indoor pool and cottage-style rooms, this 3-star superior hotel enjoys a peaceful location beside a forest, just a 10-minute walk from Ettal Abbey. If you want the Bavarian Alp countryside ambiance, this is the place to stay. We thought it was a little quaint type hotel up a small side street, when, in fact, it has numerous rooms and facilities and still quaint. We had a twin room with a balcony. It was mid October and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The balcony provided fresh air and views. We even had a flock of goats in the morning complete with bells on like in the movies. The views from our back room were fantastic. The breakfast was totally German: meats, cheeses, fruits, pastries, bread, hot foods, cereals, etc. We even had dinner one night and it was nicely priced and the food outstanding. There is free parking across the street but let the office staff help you determine which spaces are OK. We would stay here again!
