Located in Manizales, Caldas region, Hotel Adel is set 50 km from Viaduct between Pereira and Dosquebradas. We didn't really know what to expect coming to manizales, we didn't have super high Expectacions. But once we arrived at hotel adel, they Took really good care of us, the room is very clean and confortable. Also- the hotel is right across the street from the bus terminal so that's very convenient. Another thing- theres a teleférico from the terminal to go up to the center of town which is what we did. Had some food, walked around and then back down the teleférico. Convenient and cheap.

The rooms are decorated with period furniture and are clean. The beds are comfortable and open up into a main courtyard area where there are comfortable chairs and the breakfast area. The staff are very welcoming and helpful. They can help you organise visits to places and recommend good places to eat. This was one of the best hotels I stayed at on my trip.

What a place, I already wanna go back. Venecia is a beautiful finca, the houses and landscape are just enchanting, and the hosts and employees are so friendly that it was easy to feel at home. I recommend to stay at least two days in order to get the best out of the experience, as well as to book a coffee tour with Johan. You will learn more about coffee, geography and physics in a couple of hours , than what you learned at school.

A tour of a coffee plantation is a must.
A tour of a coffee plantation is a must. We had a great time. The hot springs are also excellent and the view from the top of Columbia's highest cathedral was spectacular. Another great place to stop is for a hike in the botanical gardens on the University of Caldas central campus. The weather is very unpredictable, so dress in layers and carry an umbrella everywhere.

By blind luck on our part, the location turned out to be perfect: easy walking distance (to the extent walking is ever easily in hilly Manizales) from the monument at the top of Chipre, as well as the Ecoparque, and next to the Parque de Aguas, a good place to catch buses. The staff was not only helpful, but seemed intent on satisfying our needs before we even knew we had them. For example, they arranged our coffee farm tour and advised on transportation. We had a grand room with a view of sunrise over the mountains.
