"Park Hotel Ela", located in the picturesque resort of Borovets, is 164 feet from the gondola elevator and offers luxurious amenities including a sauna, steam bath and massage treatments. The hotel is very close to the gondola. We had breakfast and dinner included and food was very good, enough variety and very tasty. Newly renovated, had a warm and cosy look and feel.

This impressive spa hotel is located in the heart of the magnificent Rila mountain range, near the popular ski resort of Borovets, only a 50-minute drive away from Sofia. Very nice room (we a had a studio, with a living area, a bedroom and a small dressing), excellent breakfast, very nice spa. The hotel is located practically in the forest, the air is very clean, it's quiet and really relaxing. We liked a lot the swimming pool and the different sauna that are available in the spa area. The staff is very well trained and the restaurant has a very good chef. The prices in the restaurant are pretty high, but it's normal, as the quality of the food and the service are very good. Overall we had a great experience.

In one of the more peaceful spots of Borovets at the Rila Mountain, the renovated Lion Hotel Borovets offers an indoor pool and a free shuttle service to the lifts. We absolutely loved our experience at Lion Hotel. Because the hotel was basically empty when we arrived, Thursday, the lady at reception even asked us at what floor we would like to stay. Breakfast was awesome but we also ate at the restaurant twice. We really liked the size of the room. The hotel is situated a bit far from the town center (20 minutes walk, 3 minutes by car) and this was perfect for us as we wanted to rest. It's also sorrounded by a beautiful forest thus the location it's great in the hot summer days.
