The lodges are right up in the mountains but we had a car so no issue. Amazing walks on your doorstep and more 10 mins away. Nice and cool up in the mountains for sleeping. The host was very very helpful.

The tranquil atmosphere was incredibly rejuvenating, and the exquisite scenery surrounding the property proved to be incredibly refreshing. The house we lodged in was exceptionally cozy, clean, and surprisingly well-equipped. The staff was exceedingly friendly and helpful during our entire stay.

We will always remember our beautiful holiday in Madeira and our stay at this lovely place. The support we were given by social lodge team was very helpful for people like us, being there for the first time. The apartment was top, we felt very comfortable there, the location within the city is really good and the communication with our hosts via WhatsApp was easy and perfect. Madeira is pretty expensive for lodging, so my satisfaction is based on price of this hotel. It is older and nothing fancy, but location is great and it was clean, so I was happy. Shower pressure was great and I got good sleep as neighbors were pretty quiet. Stuff was friendly. I received excellent instructions prior to my late arrival. Thank you!

Beautiful, place with an amazing view, in the garden, the entire wooden house available, purposefully, simply furnished-

We had the most wonderful stay at the Mountain Eco Shelter. The location is beautiful - the lodges are in a beautiful Ecological Park full of plants and flowers. You can do hikes directly from the lodges. The lodges themselves have everything you need - a great kitchen, a comfortable bed and a balcony with a stunning view. The staff here are really friendly and helpful. There’s even a snackbar down the road where you can grab dinner & drinks. We loved every minute of our stay here and we are already planning to come back again.

Quiet accommodation in peaceful, and quite remote area. The hosts Paulo and his assistant Sergio are delightful people, genuine, welcoming and their guests comfort is their top priority. Paulo is a great cook, and nothing is ever too much trouble. He is helpful and goes above and beyond what is expected of your usual host. Highly recommend.

Beautiful lodge and a great breakfast. A fun little bar up the hill and a wonderful restaurant down the hill.
