If ever your in the area or passing through Bristol you have to go to Clifton to see the suspension bridge, it is awe inspiring im not really into bridges but my other half has been talking about this bridge for years, we finally got round to visiting Bristol, we did a mini city break on the way through to stay at burnham on sea for a week with the kids. When you walk up the hill towards the top where you first get a glimpse of the bridge it almost takes your breath away i cant get my head around how high up it is, its crazy to think this was built when they didnt have the massive machinery we do today. At the top of the hill there is a little gift shop that sells magnets and such, but the other attractions there is the cave that goes underground from the gift shop, if your brave enough to walk down in the dark, which my other half did, also if you climb some steep steps up to a room there is a really old mirror obscurer where you close the doors to darkness and in front of you appears almost like an old fashioned video of the clifton bridge where you can see all the cars and people travelling across it was like watching a very old black and white movie. Word of warning there is 1 toilet up there and its hidden,no signs which we found weird, we walked into a restaurant around the side and was told its closed to the public and we cant use the toilet but there is 1 around the other side so we went in search round and round the building we walked untill a lady asked if we were looking for the toilet as she had also been searching, also there was no toilet paper so take your own.

Clifton is a lovely part of Bristol and a must-see if you are visiting the city. The Main Street is very attractive and you should also visit the Clifton Arcade and the Primrose Cafe. The architecture in Clifton is stunning. Don't miss Royal York Terrace, Caledonia Terrace and The Mall and a drink on the large terrace of the Avon Gorge Hotel with fantastic views of the Clifton Suspension Bridge. Take a walk up to the Observatory for the best views of the Bridge and the Gorge.

We have stayed here a few times. The main advantage is the convenient car parking at the back of the hotel (£9 charge). The rooms are clean and comfortable and the hotel is well priced compared to others near Clifton.
The staff was really kind and helpful. The bus stop was very close. There were many restaurants near the hotel. Short walking distance from the Clifton bridge.
The room was small, but I could find everything, I needed.
Well located for Clifton village and all the amenities. Comfortable clean room in a lovely hotel. The breakfast is really good with an excellent choice served in a room with amazing views of the bridge.
Location was good and within Clifton area so great eateries/bars etc. we were there for an event nearby so very handy. Hosts were great at responding and there was also private parking which was great as expensive/hard to park around Bristol. It was clean and overall, a decent stay as reasonable costs compared to the nearby hotels etc.
The room was beautiful and designed to a very high standard. The bathroom felt very opulent and the bed was super comfy. My partner and I had an amazing nights sleep. The posh filter coffee in the room was a nice touch, just how I like to start my mornings. The reception team was super welcoming and always had a smile on their faces. The hotel restaurant provided a delicious breakfast with lots of options. After our walk around Clifton Village, we decided to go back to the restaurant for a Sunday roast, which again, was opulent and delicious.
Large, newly refurbished apartment
Excellent location for Clifton and discovering Bristol generally
The host (Jon) was very responsive
The garage is useful, but tight for a normal sized car
The breakfast was excellent and the staff were so polite and welcoming.
I loved my stay it was great for being so close to Clifton. It's a great hotel, it is a little tired and probably needs a little updating but it does have charm. My room had everything I wanted the bed linen was spotless, lovely selection of complimentary beverages, hairdryer and a selection of toiletries. I will definitely use this hotel again when visiting Bristol.
This is a really nice serviced apartment in an excellent location, close to the centre of Bristol with easy access to shops and restaurants in Clifton. The apartment was spacious and clean with good quality kitchen equipment and comfortable lounge area. Security was a first for us with an app which activated as a door key for the duration of our stay. OK if you don't run out of battery on your phone! Parking was off site but safe and very close.
Beds very comfy and location of hotel excellent. Walking distance to all central amenities, and old town. Good access to buses to Clifton.
