Midsland
Each morning, Pension de Wadvaarder serves a breakfast buffet prepared with local products. If sunny, the backyard garden terrace is also available for breakfast. For dinner, there a few restaurants within walking distance in the centre of Midsland. Upon arriving at Pension de Wadvaarder (through the back gate), you’ll enter into a cozy living room and dinning area. Gerrit & Annemieke have a great sense of style and it shows throughout the property, including the garden. The bedroom was spacious and had a small reading room with books (in Dutch). For breakfast you are provided a checklist of items to choose from which are then freshly assembled for you in the morning. The items are excellent quality, some derived from Terschelling (cheese, cranberry compote, eggs…) - lekker! The pension is close to the village center and bus stop. Hikes on the dike, in the forrest, on the dunes, and beach are easily manageable. Of course you can also bike if you want to move around faster and farther.

Staff was very welcoming and check-in was a breeze. The hotel is located right at the beach and easy to reach by bicycle, car or bus from the harbour. The room, communal areas (including the pool / spa) were all very clean and the room included coffee+tea. The hotel restaurant provides some great dinner options in a very nice, comfortable and cozy atmosphere.

the location was really close to the beach, lot’s to do as long as you like us water obsessed: kite, parasailing,swimming,surfing. the room was huge ( we had a large family suite 100m2), dogs allowed and had to be taken with to breakfast and dinner. I kindly asked if it would be ok to leave mine in the room for it’s an older guy taken out of shelter , he’d be stressed and then disturbing. The staff was super nice and let him in the room. 1dog kept barking 24/7. always on the balcony.?

very spacious room with a beautiful view on the dunes and sea. With an evening sun on our terrace. Breakfast was good and we also had dinner in the restaurant which was also of good quality. The location next to the dunes and sea is magnificent and excellent for a morning run.

A nice hotel in "down town", just off main street. Comfortable rooms and a perfect breakfast. Extremely friendly staff. We went out for dinner every evening, but the hotel also features a small restaurant. This is the perfect base for exploring the dunes, the beaches and the rest of the island.
