Concept hotel Rakši is located 7 km from Cesis, in an ancient valley of the Gauja River, in the Camel Park Rakši. It offers accommodation in a house, as well as free access to the private zoo. I was absolutely taken away by the premises of this mini zoo. We stayed in the 3 bedroom apartment. It was very spacious, we had animals in our backyard, and we could freely walk around the zoo after hours, which probably was the best part when you're staying with children.

Kalna Ligzda is located in the outskirts of Smiltene, in the Kalnamuiža area. It offers warmly decorated rooms with access to the sauna. Clean room, very good breakfast, helpfull staff, free wifi worked well. Lake and beach at short walk, center of Smiltene too. Neighborhood was nice and quiet.

This small and cosy hotel is located in the very centre of Cesis, only a 5-minute walk from the castle park. The staff was very helpful. She even got up early to make my breakfast.

Majoru Promenāde is located in the seaside resort of Jūrmala, in the Jomas Street. The wooden house features antique interior. Free Wi-Fi access is available. The beach is just a short walk away. Perfect location, just next to the Jomas iela promenade. Close to the beach. Very friendly and open staff. And one could have pub in the downstairs for eating and drinking at the spot. Car could be parked for free at the backyard. Nice place to stay, definitely we'll be back.
