Situated in the town of Scarriff in County Clare, Riverbank Cottages offers self-catering accommodation with free onsite parking. Shannon Airport is just 40 minutes’ drive away. Each Riverbank Cottage offers an open-plan living area, with an open fire and a beamed ceiling. The fully equipped kitchen area includes an oven, microwave, and a fridge. Local shops, pubs, and restaurants are within walking distance of the cottages. Scarriff lies on the western shores of Lough Derg, the largest lake on the Shannon River. The surrounding countryside is quite scenic, with Scarriff town nestling in the valley between the Slieve Aughty and Slieve Bernagh mountains. Locally, Killaloe and Mountshannon offer boat trips and water-based activities. The nearby village of Feakle is renowned for Irish traditional music. Walking trails are signposted in the surrounding hills. Suggested day trips from Riverbank Cottages include The Cliffs of Moher and the Burren; Bunratty Castle and Folkpark; Galway city and Connemara; the Dingle Peninsula in Kerry; Limerick city and Ennis town. Dublin and Cork can be reached in less than two and a half hours by car.
