One of the oldest neighborhoods of the town, most buildings built centuries ago, during the Venetian occupation, but still and always functionable. There is a small grocery store nearby with very friendly owners. Next door, the 17th century church of St. Nicholas dei Vecchi, where the first governor of independant Greece, Ioannis Kapodistrias, was baptised. Very close also the church of St. Spyridon, the patron Saint of Kerkyra island. Restaurants all around, easy and fast access to the central square. Parking in the neighborhood is not the easiest thing!! Narrow roads all around make traffic hard. There is a public parking close enough.
